+x+xif we are playing a diamond, rogic is in the slot. call it what you want. he just needs to be a very advanced attacking midfielder. although his work rate and defence is looking much much better every year. we just need to stop playing wings, because our wings at the moment aren't rocking it for the NT. 4 in the middle. 2 up front. dominate. It's not 2005. We'd get demolished if we played a 442. Yeah, you need 3 in the middle.

+xI am worried Ikon's season is shaping up to be very similar to last year. He seems to have impressed but still seems like he will be about 4th choice winger. The big hope is early on and I would go as far to say if he doesn't get some decent time before the international break (only 2 games) he will only see decent time in an injury crisis. The reason is say this is they have not bought a replacement for Candreva, Anderson is off at the Olympics and Keita Balde is possibly injured ( source) leaving only Kishna and Ikon as true wingers. The other good news is Simone Inzaghi is their current manager. For those who don't know/remember he was Ikons youth team manager at Lazio where he had his best season and was captain and apparently the reason Ikon didn't go on loan apparently was at the "express request of Inzaghi'. Why I think his season hinges on these first two weeks. Firstly it is strongly rumoured they are looking for a direct replacement for Candreva and by the end of the International break Anderson will be back. This will push Ikon from 3rd choice winger (assuming Keita is fit atm) to 5th which is very similar to last season when he made no appearances. That along with Lazio having no Europa league (less fixture congestion) I only see Ikon getting 10 minute sub spells if he is lucky. Lastly even if Keita is injured doesn't mean Ikon and Kishna are the only players that can play wide. Lulic has much of his career out wide, Dordevic played as a support striker/winger last season and a formation change could make it so wingers aren't needed (they have mainly played 433 in pre-season though). Certainly seems to be in the frame, at least. Thanks for the summary Moofa!

On the Gas Aug 13 On the Gas @OnTheGas1999 Mizunuma and Burns on the bench and Shinoda calls on Hirayama and Hanyu for his last two subs. Good grief. Lets forget this ever hapoened.
This was from post game last week when Tokyo crashed 4-1. J-Squads just out for tonights game and Neymar Burns not in squad. I think there might be something in the WSW rumour. Anyone got WSW news?

Rogic starting tonight chaps. Be interesting to see if he can get a decent run in this and then back up 4 days later in Israel.

Spira, Jovanovic, Thwaite, Vidosic all starting in China. Mrcela started too. Wilkshire on the bench. Doubt he'll see any action this season.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Rogic looks good. This other team would get relegated from most NPL leagues though.

+xRogic looks good. This other team would get relegated from most NPL leagues though. St Johnstone are a small wee club despite Perth being quite big in Scottish terms. Every season I just hope them and Kilmarnock go down and we get someone with an actual fanbase like Falkirk or Greenock Morton to come up..

Nice pass from Rogic to open everything up for the eventual goal. Would have the assist stat if Griffiths got the goal first time like he should have

I've never seen anyone able to turn as good with a bouncing ball as Rogic. Seen him do it many times, takes remarkable control.

Phwoar Rogic strike hits the crossbar from outside the box, gave it some violence.
