I just saw the replay of the joeys game, what happened to them given how they looked quite good especially in attack.
I don't think they created a single decent chance unless if you count the one before half time, passing game ordinary and also their positioning to receive the ball and then turn forward wasn't there either they looked too narrow in the game. The worst part is they lost control of the game, they just needed to keep on probing and be patient for their defensive and passing lanes to open up to me this was the most disappointing part they did not keep their structures in place for the whole game and just collapsed.
So execution was clearly evident there, so disapointed given the promise they have shown in the AFF Cup.
At least the young socceroos are doing well, another good win.

+x+x+x+x+xabsolutely shocking performance and result.
cant wait to hear from my lad on what the coaches had to say to them.
the boys are known for digging a bloody big hole for themselves and scrapping through so the very very very small optimistic side of me is, hoping Japan defeats Vietnam tonight and we get them on Monday. Did you see the interview with vidmar straight after the game. I think the boys will cop a flogging. Not happy Jan. No, got a link? He said - There's a lot of areas we can work on, very disappointing [sic] with the performance. In possession we were terrible. When we didn't have the ball we were terrible. That's an awaken for our players because if they think they can into a tournament like this and teams fall over for em they have another thing coming. We've got what we deserved. Absolutely nothing from the whole team. Very disappointed with the performance. We've got a big game coming up against Vietnam. We have to now win our next 2 games and that's not gonna be easy. Wake up call and kick up the ass hopefully. Do or die for these lads there's no turning back from here, two very tough games coming up.

Not happy Jan. definitely anticipating the flogging. totally expected, not totally deserved imo. its 50/50. players and coaches both need to take responsibility of tonights downfall. ironic when they played Uzbekistan the other day, this XI destroyed them with a 3-1 score and then the other XI was all disjointed and actually ended up conceding 1-0. similar happened when they played back in ACT. really unsure what happened tonight. these kids are pretty young they shouldn't get a flogging. That performance was on the coach. Individually this team is stronger than the u19s team but collectively its donkeys and race horses. Chances are we miss this world cup in which case hopefully gumbao takes over u17s too

Scrappy football by the under 16s, despite the intense off the ball pressure and physicality of Krygystan.
The under 19s played quite well against Indonesia in high middle of the day heat and humidify. They imposed their game on the opposition.

Biggest game of the group. If everything goes to script we'll avoid Vietnam in the semis and beat them in the final in front of a packed house, sending thousands home with salty tears.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
