Melbourne born Chesterfield player Liam Graham makes NZ team for US tour http://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/nz-teams/84829120/New-All-Whites-fullback-Liam-Graham-benefits-from-a-fortunate-series-of-eventsWhen he arrives in Nashville with the All Whites next week, it will be just the latest destination in a football career that has already taken him around the world. Born in Melbourne, Graham qualifies for the All Whites through his Kiwi mum, and has always considered himself a New Zealander, even while moving from country to country as a kid. He spent some of his teenage years in Auckland, where he played for Central United, but it was while he was in Japan in 2010 as an 18-year-old that he received his big break.

South Melbourne player Luke Adams, plays for NZ, but has Australian Passport through a parent. Wants an A-League contract. Won't be a foreigner in A-League due to Aussie Passport. http://www.goal.com/en-au/news/4021/a-league/2016/09/22/27768182/operation-a-league-adams-targets-professional-return?ICID=SP_HN_1

That's because he's Australian. It'd be illegal to classify him as anything else. The country he plays for has no bearing in terms of nationality law. Anyways, it would be very hypocritical for us to kick up a fuss about an Kiwi Aussie playing in the A-League as an Aussie. As much as I hate the amount of discrimination dished out by EU countries against those without an EU passport (which is completely arbitrary and inconsistent), Australian football would have suffered immeasurably if those Australian footballers who possess an EU passport were denied the benefits of that EU passport on the grounds that they were playing sport for a country outside the EU. So NZers are treated as foreigners within all A-League clubs except Wellington. How about Australians at Wellington?

+xThat's actually the best interview he's ever done lol. Almost sounds charismatic. Was thinking the same thing! He is clearly a shy guy who is uncomfortable in front of the micorphone but I kind of like that he hates the attention.

+xRogic starting. Great to see him backing up. that's a huge line up for him. 3 games in a week including a UCL. i would expect him to see the bench after 60 mins again. says a lot about how important he is for rodgers. he is looking more solid all around the more he plays. i just hope he isnt overworked and injured. we need him to brutalise japan. i will be there so this needs to be his priority ;)

He is clearly a shy guy who is uncomfortable in front of the micorphone but I kind of like that he hates the attention. Absolutely. Gotta love that about him. I can cope with arrogant tossers in elite sport (or elite anything). But when somebody is as humble and kind as Aaron, that's something very special. On a personal level, it's better to be like that and be crap at football than to be great it and to be a douchelord. Aaron has the best of both worlds. Rogic is another who seems a bit shy in that way. It's how we do the small things in life that define us as people.

Rogic goes close-ish from a free kick, deflected just wide for a corner.

Good turn of pace from the big man, beat a couple of players and hacked down drawing a yellow.

celtics backline is so horrendous. shit themselves every time they get put under even a little bit of pressure. rogic having a good game, 10/10 turn under pressure. wish he would work on his passing though, gives away way too many simple ones.

Just pointing out that such players exist in our system (i.e. other country FA's might want to naturalise players hanging around here in Oz).

It can't do the A-League harm for other country's FAs to be interested in capping those playing in it.

Jeez, Ingolstadt suck arse. Won't be long before a new manager comes in. Full match for Luongo, 2-1 win against Fulham.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
