Did you have yourself some fucked up dreams during that hiatus? I have the craziest dreams when I go from smoking regularly to not. I hardly ever smoke up these days :( DB-PGFC wrote:Oh by rolling I meant being on MDMA. I've never heard any aussies refer to it as "rolling" before.

Is there any hope for legalisation in Australia?

+x+xIs there any hope for legalisation in Australia? Within 2 election cycles, surely. Watch it get politicised like gay marriage and climate change, except this time opponents of legalisation actually have some straws to grasp at by bombarding the public with scary advertisement campaigns about how it's a gateway drug and dig up Stoner Sloth. Unfortunately my mum is terrified of marijuana, as she's tried to scare me off it with a bullshit story about how she got the munchies her first time smoking and it made her run across several lanes of traffic to get a meat pie from the servo. Should mention that I've never used cannabis (I probably will). The only problem I have with legalisation is the lack of a breathalyser equivalent. RBT officers could subject those who they suspect are stoned to blood testing or piss tests, however I've heard that the properties of cannabis can stay in the system long after the cannabis wears off so it might not be all that reliable. Apart from that, everyone should have the right to blaze it.

+x+xIs there any hope for legalisation in Australia? Within 2 election cycles, surely. Doubt it. For example, my parents are very lefty on most issues (vote Labor/Greens all their life, support gay marriage etc.) but even they are against marijuana. Even though prohibiting it is wrong and a waste of money/resources, people have this irrational stigma of it. Hell, we even have a debate about handing out testing kits so kids don't die at music festivals. Can't believe we're so behind as a country on this stuff.

We deny climate change is real, hold pointless plebiscites for an "issue" that doesn't actually affect most Australians that wastes taxpayer dollars and have one of the worst internet services in the first world.

It can likely fuck your mind as much as it can heal any shit going on. Shit if you worked 9-5 and smoked up after dinner every day say at 7 and went to bed at 9-10 you'd be sweet for the rest of your life. It's the constant smoking that gets you, not just physically (no shit smokes bad for you), but neurologically it can change the workings of the brain and can lead to bad withdrawals, schizophrenia, etc tl;dr it's fine, just be like Winston Wolf with it

I'm not against the legalisation of marijuana, but as a former pot user I wont be going back to it. The paranoia was becoming way to much for me, I only felt comfortable using it when I was alone.

Medicinally i would be stoked if it were legalised as it is told to work wonders for trigeminal neuralgia however I'm not a huge fan of smoking it but medically there are far better ways to take it. Otherwise i have no interest in it. Had it a few times in my 20s the only thing i felt was a warm sensation in my legs... a) no i want pissing myself and b) i didn't check to see if someone was pissing on my legs.

smoked a heap through the ages of 17-19. Thought i was king dick. Use it but dont abuse it, took a big scare in my life to get me to stop. If you smoke everyday salmon then yeh its going to mess you up. A smoke here and there wont do harm

I have neither the bank balance nor the will to smoke every day. If I ever smoke, it'll be once a month, if even that.

Marconi, I've never seen Pulp Fiction, so I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing bad is going to happen if you smoke it occasionally or as a one off. It has a tendency to cause paranoia in people who are already a bit anxious so just go slow, be with mates and watch funny shit to make sure you're laughing. Either way it'll wear off and you'll be fine. Don't ever fall into the trap that some people have when they say they use it for their "anxiety" or "headaches". This is just total garbage to justify being stoners all day, and having no responsibility.

+xI have neither the bank balance nor the will to smoke every day. If I ever smoke, it'll be once a month, if even that. Why are you planning how regularly you will do it? If it's there at a party and you are feeling up to it by all means try it but planning how often you will smoke it is silly. I first tried it when i was 13 at the end of year 8 when I was already drunk. Puked my guts up that night aha Once I left high school I smoked stupid amounts every day. Pointless and is one thing I would change in my life if i could go back 15 years. People are right that occasional use won't harm you necessarily but from what I have seen from you on here you are a classic case of someone who shouldn't smoke weed regularly. Do it with friends or just people at a party when you can experience those giggle fits that stop happening after a while and don't become someone who smokes alone and plays video games (no matter how fun that can be aha) coz it's pointless.
