+xObviously we shouldnt celebrate anyones death, no doubt people will and it will be a shameful indictment on the A league. Not that people will care, they like attention good or bad.As much as RW wrote bad stuff about the sport, she didnt rip flares, bash people up and generally act like a tosser and embarrass the broader football family. In a way I think she was a red herring, why admit our own flaws and failings when we can just push them all onto some journo.RIP I hear the violins playing. But da flaerszzz

+xGenuinely didn't steal that post. Believe me, don't believe me, whatever. Literally woke up, checked Facey, saw she died and came here. Mum's pissed because I don't care that she's dead. Yes, it's sad that her family has lost a wife/mother/daughter/sister, but she tried to drag our sport through the mud. I'm personally not shedding any tears. Im not sure how that would even come up in conversation

+x+x+x+x+xThank christ for that. No sympathy, she was a stain of a human being. Mate that is pretty disgusting. I hated her comments on football like the rest of us here but seriously at the end of the day it's a sport and we all can have a difference of opinion. She had a family with young kids. Shouldn't be celebrating her death that's just fucked. Can't say im surprised coming from you though. She was a shit human being, having kids and family doesn't change that. She made a living out of slandering people and publicly shaming people. She knowingly tried linking A-League crowd violence to Hillsborough, despite knowing full well how offensively ignorant Im happy she is gone. I don't care if it's celebrating death, horrible people like her shouldn't get the benefit of post mortem respect. Pretty much the same how I felt when Maggie Thatcher finally carked it. Jelly and Ice Cream. Thatcher was on another level though. What she did effected people's lives. A tabloid sports "journalist" does not even come close. Some people take sport far too seriously. Trust me, it's nowhere close to the pure hatred I have for Thatcher and her orcs, that was obviously on another level. I just have no interest in biting my tongue for a vile human being who went of her way to publicly ruin peoples lives, or hijack tragedies like Hillsborough to make normal people feel unwelcome in their community, all just to further her pathetic career. Death does not entitle you to respect and I will show none for her. You sound no better than she.

That is shitty, someone dying of cancer. We may not have believed in her views, but no-one deserves to die at such a young age. Was a waste. We could have been looking forward to so many more years of venomous banter.

Sometines journalists have too much influence and power. Also if you are going to criticise something or someone, expect to take some cristism too. No journalist should be immune to it.

+xMeh. Don't understand just because she passed away we are supposed to be respectful. Stuff that. Was she respectful to any of us over years and years. How many lives did she try to ruin. Knowing the FFA, they will decide to have a minute silence at the derby......which will be just a great decision i will be suprised if this happens. I hope she is in hell, chained up on a chair watching the Hyundai A-League lol

RIP. She was a media darling of the NRL doing what she could for the code she cared about. No hard feelings towards her on my part.

Wishing or liking that some is dead based on a difference of opinion about something as relatively unimportant as football says an awful lot more about the person wishing or liking someone dead than it does about the person who has died.

It's one of those times when the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" is a thing, and that's all I'll say about that. I didn't know she had kids, I guess they'd be pretty close to my age, I'm sorry for them. It's not often/ever I'll compliment FFA social media, but this is how you take the high road:

Cancer is an awful disease no matter which form it takes. male Prostate Cancer is a huge killer and blokes don't get themselves checked out as often as women do. there needs to be a bigger focus on that in order to address that issue.
I genuinely feel very sorry for the Wilson family as I would for any other family that has gone through this. These things have a devastating impact on families and friends, so my thoughts go out to them.
it isn't very nice being insensitive to their suffering.
A League is just a sport. We must never elevate it or any other sport for that matter, above our own dignity, morals and values and last time i checked, it isn't ok to be welcoming misfortune upon other individuals of this kind.
Some people may argue that she did this or that, slander people in the news. well that may be true, but this does not give anyone of us the right or justification to being ungracious to the family in the shadow of death.

Field Marshall Blamey ridiculed the 21st Brigade for "running like rabbits" despite their gallant defence providing the time needed as they slowed the advance of the Japanese along the Kokoda Track. Every ANZAC Day younger veterans would form a circle around them to prevent prying eyes as the surviving members would gather at his grave and piss on it.
This thread is like that.

Pissing on someones grave should get you arrested but I guess when you have murdered Japanese then it is only a small offence.

This doesn't sound like something a real military should be doing. Veterans or not. For me, I think the veterans are wrong and low to be doing this type of thing. Oh well!. we are talking about the Aussie military. need to make allowances.

Cyprus national guard is small, but one of the best equipped military on the planet. no it certainly isn't something our veterans or soldiers would do. If they did, they deserve their arse kicked for bringing the Armed service into disrepute., This is not something the Military should be encouraging. It is deplorable behavior. Same as wishing ill of the dead.

+xNo, if they were a c*nt in life then they still are a c*nt in death. You can hear the blubbering minority cry that somehow because she died of cancer she is a superhero and needs her legacy protected. It's an embarrassment. If she had died in a drunk driving incident, which was a real possibility, would you all be stroking your violins pleading for this to stop? No. C*nt in life c*nt in death.
