If i'm confusing professional football with development league, why can cairns develop more players and be top of the league?

As far as I can see FFA wasted loads on A league team and now
FQ wastes loads on NPL team.

We are gathering the facts as we speak.how many players has furgie used in the past 3 seasons and why did they leave. how many paying members does the fury have now compared to 3 seasons ago?

but you only get 30 people to a game.

So why aren't the best players between in the region playing? Are they simply happier to stay at their community club and play in a community comp.

This is Development?????? i believe it is 20 losses 1 win and 3 draws this season including pre season and FFA cup. 5 Losss to cairns this season, 2 pre season and 1 FFA cup and 2 NPL games. the last one was 5 -0 at home so at least we can see the team is improving.

Good luck with that i hope it happens as its the only way to get the support of everyone in the football community, this must happen on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast otherwise the NPL will continue to be a failure in Qld.

They are also hoping to turn Brolga Park into the true home of football in the region, with an LED light grant works $140,000 on the main field in the works.

Significant changes have also been made to the senior club competitions, with a six team premier league and a promotion/relegation system to be implemented for next year.

they have also increased there revenue, decreased costs, leased the fields to aus tag in the summer and are allowing all players even warriors players to take part in trials.:) 
Just need a great coach for the NPL senior team,Paul Foster would be a great fit he was interested before.
pay the money get the right first coach and the rest will follow( pay peanuts get monkeys).
Sponsors are already knocking, a winning NPL team will get more on board..
Hope they introduce plans to build a community club with pokies, restaurant, bar , Bingo ie brothers leagues club.

ROHAN O’NEIL, Sports reporter, Townsville Bulletinan hour agoA MAJOR disagreement over the club name and colours looks to have soured a relationship between the Northern Fury and local governing body NQ Football.News broke late last week of the Fury’s plan to hand the running of the club over to NQ Football for the 2018 NPL Queensland season but that plan now looks in major doubt over a dispute surrounding the loss of the club’s brand.Current Fury chairman Rabieh Krayem was frank with his assessment of the entire situation and made it abundantly clear that any partnership or transferring of the license will not go ahead if it costs the former A-League club its moniker.“The reality was we were going to renew the license for 2018 and hand it over to NQ football to run the club but that’s not going to happen now,” he said.“We’ve advised Football Queensland that we will renew our current license and we are also applying for a skill acquisition program with licensed coaches through the Football Federation Australia (FFA).“We will also be inviting representatives from the Burdekin, Ingham and Townsville to join our board so that we can represent community football to ensure we have a whole of football approach to the NPL pathway.”Krayem also spoke of a number of past Northern Fury players speaking out in support of the club, saying he had received support from a host of the club’s former A-League stars.The long-time club chairman said former fan favourites like David Williams, Daniel McBreen, Rostyn Griffiths and even Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler had approached him to express their desire to maintain the team’s name.“A lot of the ex-Fury players who are in the A League or other places around the world have bandied support behind the brand and they want it to continue,” Krayem said.“That name has a lot of meaning behind it, the Fury are here to stay and we want to ensure there is a pathway for our local kids to continue to do great things.”Representatives from NQ Football were contacted for comment but did not return calls or messages before publication."
