Had to contend with the Fox/Optus debacle - mind you have it sorted now but this break feels like its off season again lol......
I was caught up last weekend away and at a dinner Sat night but my boy was streaming our Sydney derby.
I know what you mean but I took up membership again - will get into it once a few more rounds are played.

haha, well he's still not settled in imo, I hope I'm right.
Whereas his opposite once again snuffed us out - damn it, kudos to him have to say.

A well earned 3points !
Shame slacking off and letting one in but was going to happen.
We should have put more away - the stats overall was near on dominance so we need to put these games out of reach better but can't complain I suppose :)

Next is spurs in the EFL - another huge one at home.
Looking likely Mignolet is between the sticks.
Ings is expected getting a run, I suppose depending on the circumstances.

Despite the close score and game we should have put away another 3 at least.
TBH I was surprised how well we had spurs covered and with a very changed starting line up, virtually only semi regular being Origi of late.
Well done to the youngsters ! I rated Alexander. Ejaria as well. Stewart going to be a sound Pool player.
Great to see Ings back once on, he should have got one.
Sturridge, well he got his chance and made his mark, he could had got his hat trick and his outside of the foot attempt was a bomb beating Vorm smashing the cross bar.
Had enough set pieces as well, if the Coutinho was playing I would be sure one would have gone in.
18 shots to 9, 9 to 5 on target.
Well played Mignolet, great save late in the game from a low close pass/cross top intercept !
Well, the pen against Lucas was played by Lamela imo but thats football and the way the ref saw it.
Would have been injustice if making it level but as mentioned IF we had put away another chance or 2 it wouldn't have mattered.
Klopps passion is going through all the squads veins, you can see it when doing the subs, I'm sure some as any of us dislike coming off but the camaraderie is very evident and has created much competition on the whole squad.

Well, were on a roll arn't we.
Having got over our difficult first 6odd games and banking better than expected points now were starting to finish off teams we normally have dropped 2 or worse lose.
Other results have helped ofcourse ie spurs gooner draw just played into our hands.
The squad is attacking just as Klopp likes, in numbers variety and many chances created.
Defense still worries me, I hope we strengthen up next window but just as the SAS days, if we score more than against you maybe be lucky getting away with it but I wouldn't bet on it this way.
30 GF ! in 11 games. Go you good thing !

This is what it means to have a grounded gaffa.

On his side playing with the pressure of being top…

There's no pressure after 11 matchdays – absolutely no pressure. We saw Chelsea playing yesterday, quite impressive. We saw City playing Barcelona, quite impressive. Man United, never write them off. Tottenham, a good side… there are a lot of really good teams around and you can play a really good season, but when they are better – which is possible because they're really not bad – then you could be fifth or sixth and nobody would be really happy. So, stay cool, take the things like they are, playing your best football and win football games – that's the only thing we can do. When I came here, I asked for time, patience, belief and a lot of things. Now after 11 matchdays, everyone is asking for guarantees but they are not there. There are no guarantees. The only thing we have is a pretty good football team, so let's try to use it.

After watching the replay this morn, it should have could have been a win - Clyne late in the game for eg met a perla of a Sturridge lofted cross heading it wide right in front.
A real shame.
In saying that as had been mentioned through the press, one of those games normally over the years we would have lost from a counter etc, Matip is covering our goal brilliantly therefore making sure a point is at least in hand.
Quoted below - we knew this over the last years, we lacked a sound reliable CB, be great to have 2 as good but as mentioned, Lovren is following, Skrtl would have as well had he been retained. We lose Matip due to injury were would be vulnerable.

Perhaps the most intriguing statistic on Saturday was that Matip didn't attempt a single tackle. Not one.

The reason was that he never needed to: the 25-year-old was known during his Bundesliga days as a man who rarely picked up yellow cards, because he had the anticipation and speed to be in the right position in the first place.

He's been booked only once this season, and has picked up 32 cards over 274 club appearances. Lovren, in comparison, has picked up 67 cards in 304 games, and attempted three tackles at St Mary's. Matip's style is reminiscent of that once employed by Ledley King, who was staggeringly booked only nine times in his entire career.

Matip's positional skills were very much on display against Southampton. On two occasions in particular, he was in the right place at the right time to snuff out dangerous moves with crucial interceptions. The 6ft 5in defender was dominant in the air, too, winning eight aerial duels – the only two he lost were in the opposition penalty area.

All the time, he carried out his duties with a supreme calmness, which may just be bringing out the best in his central defensive partner Lovren as well. If Simon Mignolet often transmitted panic to those around him before he was replaced in goal by Loris Karius, in central defence Matip is doing the opposite.

Not happy Jan !
2more points blown !
We for years have said our backline is not strong enough. Just as Skrtl days being the lone soldier even though he had his "moments" were still in the similar position.
Matip is the rock but he needs another smart consistent rock next to him and then I'm sure we all know the goss thats been going on for weeks regards to between the posts.
Carra's been at it for ages.
Would you wish for Hart ? or do you have the faith that Kloppy has in him or would Klopp be starting to re consider ?
Need to rack up a few wins coming up otherwise its gonna be even more stressy than we'd like.

Nice to be back in the winners circle.
3points is so much more productive than 1, shame other results didn't go our way but the gooner draw was a plus.
40 GF, mind you arse and city are not much better in the rear but if we can hold the ship tighter would certainly help.
Lets see how long Klopp retains Mignolet in goal, saved a couple of good ones.
Lallana in peach form today.
Re group big one next against our neighbors on the 20th, they done very well considering the gooner form of late.
Should be huge as always.

Every game is important and winning this huge derby sure would give everyone a nice early chrissy present especially that city finished off the gooners :)......
It would also keep us close enough to chelski as 6 behind is far better than 9.

:hehe::P

8mins injury time - enough time to get something from this battle.
Have to say the toffs had us 1st half, we were pressed hard and not allowed any time to settle into any rhythm  whatsoever but we hung on importantly.
Typical derby - I knew with some Klopp HT wisdom we should re start alot better and that we did.
Possession overall 67% to 32%. We missed a couple of chances and it was getting tense by the 80th min I was ready to walk away not wishing to watch, Origi was blowing a lot of chances to expose or pass into danger areas I was screaming for his sub, thankfully Sturridge came on and Lallana off for Can.
Sturridge just the man to take them on and look what happened come 94th min ! Bravo following on Mane !!
Some typical robust tackles that tbh Barkely was lucky not red carded on Hendo.
2 more yellows to them 1 to Lovren.
Top game by Klavan as well - all the boys had to dig in.
Clean sheet Mignolet on fire lol.......
Nice Chrissy present boys and to all Red supporters YNWA :)

He sure did incl Lovren backing him up but to be honest thats their problem, most of their attack is like a one trick pony.
Have to say Valencia on their right wing was their most dangerous attacking player imo and Koeman subs him midlate 2nd half I thought great call !

Some key points coming since the Derby mighty win.
Toffees haven't beaten us at Anfield since 1999 just to start with.
They have just 1win in the last 20 meetings.
Our derby has accumulated 21 red cards since PL commenced 24yrs ago, more than any other similar fixture. Barkley was lucky not 22.
Going into Christmas we are 13 points better off than same time last season.
Won 5 more games than same time as last season.
21 more goals scored than same time last season.

By the way, what a decision signing on Klopp.
Even though we have our obvious weakness's - he is so diplomatic about everything and every players feelings.
Can't help but admire this bloke.

Job done coming from behind.
Were shaky at times badly at the rear. Then other times defend with conviction.
Far prefer having Matip once back and Klaven as CB's.
Stoke were always going to be a challenge.
Good to comeback and knock them off obviously.
Loving seeing Studge doing the business again. I suspect he'll be starting up soon.
Still have the Brazilian Magician to comeback, huge plus.
Mignolet ? will always be more than a worry than not.
Carra pushing the Hart barrow.

A bit of a strange game. Liverpool pressed so well in the first half and City didn't do much as a result. The second half was a completely different story - Liverpool's high press almost disappeared (is that a common theme for them in the second half?) and their passing was atrocious. They kept giving the ball away in the simplest situations (3 v 1 situations when one passing option is marked and the other is free but the player on the ball makes the wrong passing decision).

Fortunately for Liverpool, despite City retaining plenty of the ball in the second half, they looked clueless in the final third. Pep has done a fantastic job in getting them to play his football BUT individual mistakes are creeping in and this is a team that is going to force him to evolve as a manager.

He doesn't have the talent of Barcelona or ability to pinch their rivals best talent thus weakening them as he had at Bayern so he will have to evolve or else the 'perfect manager' bubble/tag will start to wear off.

Oh how I would have been pleased if Argyle nicked a 90th minute goal. It's not that I hate Liverpool, I just love a good giant killing.

Credit to Argyle though, they came to defend and did a good job of it. If it was Mourinho managing Liverpool, he'd have had a whinge about it whereas Klopp credited them for doing what they set out to do.

Could be Sturridge's chance to start up !
Clyne Lallana Lovren against their old club.

One good one that got away I'm afraid.
We should have cleared out the ball way sooner.
Valencia offside or not means nothing when not picked up.
2points again blown and people say you should be happy on that away result at OT, BS we should have put a winner away earlier.

Dear Jurgen,

The key to the Promised Land is defence. A weakness in defence has been the biggest problem at this club for a long time now. It was what cost LFC the title in 2014, and if your goal is regular CL qualification and League titles, it has to be dealt with ASAP. Spend on some renowned defenders and let them run the show whenever LFC play the back markers. That is where the points are to be found on the league table.

The end.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed
