2:0 Anderlecht. Ryan concedes a rocket from 35m. The ball flies just over his fingertips and into the net. Perhaps standing 1m back he could have palmed it over. A taller keeper might have gotten it. A special goal nonetheless but it would've been great to see Ryan stop that.

Inter lose 3:1 to Roma. I just want to see our best players get a 10 game run in a top league just sp we can say they can or can't make the grade. Sick of so much hypothetical stuff.

Stuttgart are coming first with one of the best defences in the league and only faced 2 shots on target from a piss poor team coming 13th, with most of the previous 4 matches coming against teams in the bottom half.  Genk faced four shots against a team 6 positions above them in second.  Shots to goals and opposition quality are far more important indicators than merely looking at goals conceded.

Part of being a good keeper is organising defences. As for quality of oppostion - What,  like Thailand, Jordan yada yada?

Over time Ryan has proved himself to be a poor shot stopper. Don't worry, I am still sceptical many times on mitch, but he is perfoming at the moment. Ryan has not been and is only just starting again. 

Soooo... Conceding two goals from four shots is better than conceding none from two now?

I've got a feeling there might be some people willing to dispute that.

Tbf ryan does have the extreme luck of apparently never being able to do much about any goal he concedes :) 

Has Ryan progressed since the 2014 world cup? Chewed out at a level higher than the Belgian league, and now back in his comfort zone and still displaying the same weaknesses that cost us points back then. Worrying times.

Ryan's shot stopping let's him down. Unfortunately that's a pretty important attribute for a GK to be lacking. Time to give someone else a decent shot at Roos number 1, ball playing goalkeepers mean fuck all if that they can't save a shot, especially one hit directly at you like this recent screw up of his.
