That's a shame, I guess I won't be able to catch much more action since I'm away on Thursday when we play Indonesia.
Hopefully we get some extended highlights...

Bit hard without a camera at the game. 

Surely someone somewhere filmed the whole thing. Australian coaching staff would have filmed it

Is it finishing training our boys need, or composure training? How do you train the latter? I think a number of boys can finish, it's just when they're put under pressure either by a defender, the keeper or by the environment that they crap themselves.

I also don't understand why the Australian national teams aren't based in a regional area like Cairns, Darwin or even Townsville. Surely our boys will be better prepared by conditioning themselves in camps in climates similar to what they'll encounter during tournaments than they are in the southern states? And it will pay respect to areas of the country which are largely neglected by the football infrastructure in the country. 

I guess they would have to pay more to fly kids to one of these cities rather than just do it in Sydney or Canberra, but do we want our boys to perform to their best or do we want to count pennies and repeatedly fail due to unfamiliarity with climate and bumpy pitches. Get these boys out of cotton wool and get them playing in tournament like environments!

The scorer in the first game (who I thought was our best player on the field in the parts I watched) was Trent Ostler, who is currently with Perth Glory.

Good to see a mix of clubs. 

Indeed, and big props to Wollongong Wolves and Nunawading City especially, I'm happy to see that the NPL clubs have kids of the same quality as the A-League at ages 15 and 16! Really goes to show how important a second division will be for having these talents potentially play together each week.

Also we can see how mixing the Aleague clubs with the NPL clubs at a junior level is mighty important.
