It wasn’t just the coach, though, with players and staff also complimenting the facilities. “No doubt about it,” Merrick said when asked if Scully Park could host an A-League game. “I’d love to play an A-League game up here up in Tamworth, that’d be terrific. “We’ve got the pitch, it’s a great stand, just with the crowds that might come up, you might have to put another temporary stand up but it would be great to play an A-League game.”

The infamous A-League's Championship Trophy has received a facelift.
Football Federation Australia (FFA) has officially unveiled the updated A-League Championship Trophy following the rebranding of the competition in the lead-up to the 2017/18 season. While FFA considered changing the design and style of the new A-League Championship Trophy, it was decided that its uniqueness was the very property that defined it. As such, FFA has stayed true to the original iconic design and modified it to reflect the new competition logo and style concepts. “The Hyundai A-League Championship Trophy is unique, and over the past 12 seasons of the competition has become a symbol of the success of our teams, the commitment of our Clubs, as well as the passion of the league’s Members and fans,” said the Head of the A-League & W-League Greg O’Rourke. “We again thank Clive Solari and his team at D3 Design who also produced the original Hyundai A-League Championship Trophy, and also thank W. J. Sanders in Sydney for their fine craftsmanship in producing the new trophy. “Next week we will see ten clubs begin the battle for the right to hold this iconic trophy aloft." Director of D3 Design Clive Solari was honoured that his company was tasked with updating the design.
“I am proud to say that the new trophy has a modern and clean design that will continue to maintain its iconic characteristics,” Solari said.

I was going to start a new thread. The heat on the official Hyundai A-League page is hot. Especially when you title this gimmick 'something big is coming'.

I knew we hadn't beaten them for a while, but I hadn't realized it's 8 years and 7 matches since we've beaten the Samurai Blue. We need to get a win against them next time, or we are in danger of being described as their 'easybeats'!

I don't mind that, bit pricey though. Could probably buy a cheap 3D printer and do a whole heap yourself

Without bothering to scroll through the entire thread...
Surely it's already been said but no marketing disaster comes close to Usain Bolt at CCM.
Amusing side note... my sister has a holiday house at North Avoca and Usain Bolt checked it out as his potential digs for some months. It was rejected by his minders as there were no blinds/curtains in the main en suite (and why would there be at Avoca Beach?) His minders were deeply concerned about drones sussing him out starkers.
