+xBruno is an absolute dickhead. 1 min from victory and you elbow someone in the neck in the box?

+xAccording to Wiki Mehbratu has scored 13 in 27 for Bolslav, including a double in the europa league. Any reason why he's not worth a look at for the NT? The Czech league is very top heavy. If you're not at Plzeň, Slavia or Sparta then you're somewhere else. Of all the goals he has scored the only notable opposition has been Sparta whom he scored against in 2016 and Zlín earlier this year. The Europa goals were against Shamrock Rovers who as far as I know are semi pro. His best performances are against the lowly Czech league sides and frankly they are sub aleague level. He scored a hattrick v Brno and they are woeful. The Czech League is a pro league but you have to remember that almost all of the clubs are doing it on attendances of 2-4k. Also at this end of the table there's pervasive corruption. It's probably not reported in English but a club called Slovácko which is a mid table team was sanctioned for links to a betting scheme. 15 people were caught up in it - players, managers, referees.

+x+xHrustic starts against AZ Antonis on the bench. Looks like it'll stay that way all season. the more Hrustic starts the closer we get to kicking Kruse out of the team Why on earth would we want to do that?

Amazing game from Maty last night.
I recommend anyone who missed the match check out the highlights on the Optus Sport app, as well as the match review by Mark Schwarzer and Richard Bayliss.
Maty has become a fan favourite at Brighton already.

90 minutes for Hrustic in a 1-1 draw. 6.9 rating, didn't do anything of note.

Yep, very good game for Maty. Pity he didn't pick the side for the pen, Rooney didn't hit it hard.

For those interested, here’s the link to Brighton fans discussing Maty’s performance vs Everton on their forum: http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?357299-Player-ratings-vs-EvertonMost had Maty as MOTM.

It was a pretty dross game to watch between those two. Neither really have much going forward or through the middle for that matter. I can understand Brighton a little, as a newly promoted side just looking to not get relegated this year, so more worried about stopping goals than scoring them. But I would have expected more from Everton ... Rooney is a shell of the player he used to be.

Dougall is number 4, yellow boots
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Looks like he played a DM role in that game ... caught out of position a bit for the second goal, but otherwise doesn't feature in any of the highlights.

Still no news of the XI from yesterday's Taca de Portugal loss for Tondela, but they clearly have bigger troubles right now with big bushfires that have killed at least 64 people and counting right outside the club's stadium:

+xAny news on the young Adelaide boy Riley Mcgree? I haven't checked for a couple of weeks but last info I found he had scored for the under 23 team and seems to be getting regular time there. I don't think he has must chance of getting time with the senior team.

+xAny news on the young Adelaide boy Riley Mcgree? Club Briggs's transfers have been critiqued in the Belgium media with them buying a couple of young players who haven't done much. This obviously includes McGee and people are saying he is further from the finished product than what they should be aiming for.

Really hope Maclaren gets on. He's not travelled to Australia so he's completely fresh.

He's only 18 or 19 so hopefully he is devloping well in Under 23 and at least playing.

Pasquali very likely to play in the UEFA Youth League at 4am AEST against Hammarby, although they should be taking it easy after winning the away leg 0-4.

Elder and Williams starting. Burgess and O'Neill facing each other from the bench.
