Azza what's the fox sports league code? Wouldn't mind joining that one as well. Glad the FFT one is strong, looking forward to it.

Round 1 of FourFourTwo fantasy A-League is done and dusted.
Any team with big Roy up top would have faired fantastically with him and Bruce Kamau the only players cracking double digits.
Top of the league is 'Muscats Maniacs' with a huge 81 points. The next best is 'the International Hawks' who is 5 behind.
Get those trades in if you haven't already and good luck for game week 2.

I had an ok week but certainly could’ve been better. Lucky Riera and O’Donovan saved my ass. Can anyone confirm how the bench system works? i.e if your starting keeper doesn’t play, does the bench player automatically come in for the starter? I had the following players not play which stunted my teams score: Italiano, Cisak, Milligan, Roux & Zullo. So even though those defenders didn’t play, I’d expect one would automatically be subbed for Milesunic as he played or does it not work like that? I haven’t done fantasy team for about 5 years so I’m not up to date with how it works. Also agreeing with pv4 about having difficulty of ranking the order of bench players.

From the Game Guidelines. Reserve players and automatic substitutions- 4 reserves act as automatic emergency substitutes for any player in a matching position who does not play in your starting 11. The player will automatically have their score added to your team (as long as they took to the field).
- In the event that any of the Scoring 11 players do not play in any given Game Week and receive a score of 0 points (as a result of not taking the field), the following will apply:
- Where available Substitute exists, this substitute (bench player) acts as an automatic emergencies for a matching position only
- A Substitute in a Matching Position will automatically have their score added (including players that score 0 or minus points, as long as they played) to replace the player in your Starting 11 who did not play (denoted as DNP)
"Zero" Scoring Players- If a Player you have chosen for your Team plays and scores zero, then there will be no Reserve Score to replace this Player. On rare occasions this may happen if a Player is injured very early in the game.
So it is only for matching positions, ie a forward cannot replace a defender.

+xAnyone worked out this sub order madness yet? If you want to change the order of subs, only really relevant for defenders if playing 3-4-3, then to swap them use a defender on the field. Subs on one of the subs, then sub them off for the other subsitute defender and then sub the original defender back onto the field. However I am not sure whether that effects which defender will be substituted on first.

Massive risk but I've brought Milligan into my defence. Last week was a shocker for me!

So it is only for matching positions, ie a forward cannot replace a defender. Ok so from that it makes sense to play a 4-4-2. That way if anyone doesn't play, it automatically uses your bench. So if you have x1 keeper, def, mid & striker on your bench you can still have someone come in, if theres a late out. Thanks for that

Round 2 has come to an end and we have 92 teams competing in the Fox Sports fantasy A-League 'FourFourTwo' league.
Stand out performers for this round include Dario Vidosic who scored again for the Phoenix. Bobo and Taggart were the pick of the strikers and Zullo was the best of the defenders.
League table as follows: ISAIS2ADLUNG2MATMOUR2BABA 151 POINTS HIGHLAND PENGUINS 141 POINTS SOIL FC 140 POINTS THE INTERNATIONAL HAWKS 139 POINTS MUSCATS MANIACS 139 POINTS LLOYD BRAUN XI 125 POINTS
There is already a gap of 26 points between first and sixth, use this weeks transfers wisely and good luck.

Not a fan of the new pricing system in this game.
Why did it need to change ?
They needed to leave it alone :ermm:

Really happy with the output from Riera & Bobo this week.
Far out, having SFC and WSW players seemed a great idea until derby week

My only saving grace this week was Taggart - too many bludgers in my team.
Whoever has had O'Donovan since the start have stumbled upon a gold mine.

Vargas out is a big loss. He was about to set the league alight... Might have to bring in someone like Vidosic to replace him

As well as fantasy A League, does anyone know if there are any "Football Tipping" type competitions? I follow the Argentine League a bit, and I've seen a tipping competition on the promiedos website, and I'd like to know if there's a similar thing here for the A league.
The rules are basically tip a result and a score for every match (eg. 2-1, 0-0, etc). You get 1 point for tipping a correct result, but wrong score, and 3 points for a correct result and score. eg. Say I tip a 2-2 draw and it's a 2-2 draw I get 3 points. Say I tip the home team to win 2-0 and they win 1-0, I get 1 point, as I got the result (and even the margin) right, but not the exact score. . Obviously no points for the wrong result.
If it doesn't exist anywhere here, I wonder if anyone from 442 would be interested in setting one up for next season. I'd actually pay to enter that type of competition.

Crept up a few places this week - Taggart and Berisha both scoring helped out a fair bit. Gotta replace Vargas however :(

Bit of tinkering this week - made 2 transfers: Vargas --> Da Silva Clisby --> Vujica Sent Berisha to the bench and I feel like my defence will probably score a bit more whilst Berisha is out so have gone for a 5-3-2
