+xSo if I was already in the original ballot and missed out, am I automatically entered into this upcoming one? If not, how do I enter? :) I think you apply for the tickets tomorrow. If you signed up for the FIFA tickets web-page for the last phase then you should be ready to go.

Just reading the FIFA ticket web site - it says each teams supporters will be allocated 8% of available tickets for their games. So thats only about 3200.
It was 12% last WC. Nervous now. Especially since I already bought my airfares.

So, reading a bit more it seems we are NOT applying for TST (team specific tickets) but ST (supporter tickets) in order to get in the 8% team allocation. ST’s only available from tomorrow. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/ticket-information.htmlTeam Specific Ticket Series (TST): TSTs are Ticket strips to follow the national team of your choice. The TST will not always comprise all Matches played by the chosen national team, but only the number of Matches comprised in the package which you have purchased. This means that, depending on which TSTs you applied for, your TSTs may include between three Matches (so called TST3 comprising only the three Group Matches) and seven Matches (so called TST7 comprising all Group Matches, a Round of 16 Match, a Quarter-Final, a Semi-Final and the Final) as explained in the Ticket Application Form. The TST purchased guarantees the customer Tickets for Matches of such rounds of the Competition comprised in the specific TST package purchased by the customer, regardless of whether the Team itself qualifies. The TST7 for any team comprises a Ticket for the Final held in Moscow Luzhniki Stadium. This is the case regardless whether or not the team of your choice will advance to the Final. TST products are designed to allow you to follow the team of your choice and to enjoy the Competition throughout all Competition rounds selected in your TST product allowing you to plan your trip and confirm the round of Matches you will have Tickets to attend. If your team is eliminated and your TST includes rounds after your team has been eliminated, your TST will remain valid for such round or rounds dependent on the TST product of your choice to follow the team that progresses into the next round of the Competition. Please note that the Ticket Application Form and the Ticket Confirmation will only identify the national team and the number of Matches of your choice and the purchase will include all Tickets comprised in the requested TST. If your chosen team does not qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, FIFA will refund the payment made by you for your TST minus an administration fee of 10.00 US Dollars (ten United States Dollars), or the equivalent in Russian Roubles. Team Specific Ticket Series will be available during Sales Phase (1). Supporter Tickets (ST) and Conditional Supporter Tickets (CST): National team supporters can apply for Supporter Tickets for the Group Stage Matches played by the national team between Match 1 and Match 48; national team supporters can also apply for the Conditional Supporter Tickets which are the Tickets available for the four Second Round matches that could potentially be played by the national team in the Round of 16, the Quarter-Finals, the Semi-Finals, the 3rd Place Match and the Final. All Conditional Supporter Tickets are conditional upon the national team qualifying for the respective match. If your team is eliminated, your right to be provided with, and use, the ordered Conditional Supporter Ticket(s) for such Second Round Match(es) will automatically cease to exist. In such cases you will be refunded for any Second Round Match Ticket(s) purchased by you and not played by your team due to elimination, minus a handling charge deducted by FIFA equivalent to 10.00 US Dollars per customer/guest (up to a maximum of US Dollars 40.00 per order) or the equivalent in Russian Roubles, regardless of the number of Second Round Matches you may have covered through your request. Supporter Tickets and Conditional Supporter Tickets will be available during the Random Selection Draw of Sales Phase (2).

Sales phase 2 will be divided into two sales periods: Random selection draw from 5 December 2017 until 31 January 2018 Fans will be able to apply for individual match tickets, venue-specific tickets and supporter tickets and, if the number of applications exceeds the number of available tickets, allocation will be by the random selection draw procedure. During this sales period, it will make no difference whether applications are submitted on day one, the last day or any time in between, as all will have the same chance of being successful. First-come, first-served from 13 March until 3 April 2018 Fans will be able to purchase tickets in real time on FIFA.com/tickets with immediate confirmation of successful application, subject to availability. Supporter tickets and conditional supporter tickets In addition to individual match tickets (including category 4 tickets reserved exclusively for Russian residents) and venue-specific tickets, supporter tickets can be applied for as from 5 December. Official supporters of all 32 participating member associations can request supporter tickets and conditional supporter tickets (CSTs) for their national team’s matches. Supporter tickets are tickets for each of a team’s three group matches. CSTs are tickets for each of the four knockout-phase matches that could potentially be played by a team, and are conditional upon the team qualifying for the respective rounds of the tournament. Participating member associations are allocated 8 per cent of the purchasable capacity of each stadium in which they are playing. For more information, please click here. Special access tickets FIFA has also made an allocation of tickets available for disabled people in accordance with the number of seats available in the 12 stadiums for people with limited mobility or classified as obese. For more information, please click here. Payment methods Tickets may be purchased online by using Visa payment cards or Visa Checkout. Visa is the official payment services partner of FIFA. To find out more about payment methods, please click here. Tickets purchased during sales phases 1 and 2 will be delivered free of charge to fans in the weeks leading up to the tournament, with deliveries planned to start in April/May 2018 (subject to change). All customers will be notified about the status of their application by 12 March 2018 at the latest. 742,760 tickets already allocated A total of 742,760 tickets were allocated during the two periods of sales phase 1. While most of the applications in sales phase 1 came from Russia, international demand increased steadily and has accounted for 47 per cent of all applications so far. Fans from the USA, Brazil, Germany, China, Mexico, Israel, Argentina, Australia, and England all rank in the top ten in this regard. FAN ID At the request of the Russian authorities, all fans attending matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia need to apply for a FAN ID – the official identity document issued to fans. Fans are encouraged to apply for this free document as soon as possible after they have received their ticket confirmation email. The FAN ID and a valid ticket are required for fans to be able to enter the 2018 FIFA World Cup stadiums. Having a FAN ID gives fans additional benefits and services provided by the host country, such as visa-free entry to the Russian Federation, certain free inter-host city travel and free use of public transport on matchdays. For further details, please visit www.fan-id.ru. FIFA does not assume any liability or responsibility concerning the application, issue and/or use of FAN IDs.

I successfully bought a TST5 for Australia in phase I which I now hope to hand back. I hope there will be a refund mechanism next year that will allow me to do so.

Participating member associations are allocated 8 per cent of the purchasable capacity of each stadium in which they are playing. Still, 8% isn't a lot when you consider that a fair chunk of the stadium will be taken up by FIFA suits and media, the number available could be as low as 2,000.

I'm sure FIFA will be offering refunds, but that's still to come. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/ticket-transfer-resale.html

My father went to four games and he said no one asked him for his passport (Although he did carry it), in general from my 2 experiences travelling russia the locals always carry a passport or some form of identification. The other bloke on this forum who works over there told me he has never been asked for his passport and told me to just carry a photocopy of it.

The issue apparently was that the stadium is effectively a heritage site so unlike the other stadiums that look great they had to keep the majority of the stadium as is while upgrading it.

Kazan 45k Samara 44k Sochi 47k Surely there cant be more than 5,000 officials/media/FIFA guests at each stadium can there? that would leave at worst around 3100 for us plebs at Samara.

My missus is worried that we will have to carry our passports with us to stadiums as well as our fan ID. is there anyone out there who went to the confeds cup that is able to confirm or deny this? To enter the stadium you won't need to supply it. If you are worried just photocopy your passport. I attended numerous matches during the confederations cup never saw people asked to show a passport. The rest of my post is just general information for people. I carry my passport in Russia as a resident. In my time of working in Moscow I was asked randomly to provide my passport to police once (more than 10 years ago). A lot of people worry about this when coming to Russia, it doesn't happen. They generally are focused on finding illegal immigrants. No chance they will target football fans (bad press). Unless you are there to cause trouble. Most tourists don't carry passports in Russia. You do require your passport for other means, if you wanted to catch the train (Bullet ideally) from Moscow to St Pete, then you would need to show your passport, you don't need it if it is inside Moscow. If you wanted to buy a sim card you will need your passport, sometimes stores can ask for a passport but this is not common. Generally speaking your hotel can keep the passport locked away (or you place it in a safe), they can provide a 'proof of stay' document (Ask for one if they don't) + you can photocopy your passport. This will keep your mind at ease. If you wanted to travel by train to another city The FAN ID grants the right to use trains for free between the organizing cities of the World Cup, though the tickets must be pre-booked on the website designated by the Russian Government: http://tickets.transport2018.com/. If you want to catch a cab I would suggest using Uber or Yandex Taxi (Like a Russian uber). Everything I have said is "playing it safe" generally speaking the country is safe, and a fascinating place to visit. Just don't do anything stupid as Russians don't take too kindly when foreigners act like fuckwits in there country. If you or anyone has any questions feel free to ask in this thread or inbox me.

+xI applied for all three Socceroos games but I was ineligible to apply for tickets to any Korean games. Does anybody know if there is a way to get tickets to non- Australian games? you should just be able to apply for individual match tickets. I applied for supporter tickets to Aus games and the Korean matches are available to me on the individual game tab. only games on the same day as the Aus games are unavailable. Could be that you cant apply for supporter tickets for more than one country. Edit: opps too slow.

So if I'm looking at the site correctly there is only the option to buy individual tickets for australian games? There isn't an option anywhere to buy a pass for all 3 matches is there? Also how many people here have applied for the conditional tickets for if we do get out of the group?

Guessing since each game is an individual 'ballot' you might get say 2 out of 3 (or all 3, or none) but packaging would make that process more difficult. I'm only doing the group stage so didn't look at conditional tickets for the knockouts. Applied for 3 other Moscow group games though. Hoping to jag one, and with luck it will be at Luzhniki. 80k peeps there would be a great experience.

That's weird because it asks you if you want to buy supporter tickets and then offers individual matches.

The train would take a while, but would be free and a lot of fun if you're travelling with people you can tolerate being around.

Has anyone looked into which other games may work out well to try and get get individual tickets for alongside the australian games? Would love to check out a couple of other games that work out well with travel schedule for us. Just unsure without having been to Russia or a World Cup just how hard and expensive domestic travel will be to sort out.
Might just apply for tickets that appeal and if they turn out to be logistically too difficult re-sell them back.

We were in each city for about 5 days so bought tickets to other games either side of the Australian games. Saw 8 matches all up. Including a fat Maradona in the technical area coaching Argentina.

I'm basing in Moscow and flying to/from the Aus games on the day of each game with the GGA tour so I've tried to get onto some of the Moscow group games as well (Ger/Mex, Serb/Braz, Port/Morocco). I figure between the Aus games (hopefullly with the ballot), the fan fest in Moscow, some group games there with a bit of luck, and St Petersburg close by train I should be able to get more than enough football and culture (in whatever form that takes) in the 16 days that I'll be there for the group stage. Every group game in Moscow also features a Pot 1 team so they should all be quality - except the opener maybe which it doesnt seem likely to get tickets to anyway.
If you are following Australia it should be quite easy to get to/back from any game on any other day I would think. Samara and Kazan are quite central. Sochi not so much. I did read that the '2nd-tier' domestic Russian airlines are 10 times more likely to have safety drama's than the bigger names but I dont know which ones are which. Leaving that to the tour organisers to hopefully get right.
