Crawley Town leading 3-0 at halfime.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Ryan fumbled a cross in the last few seconds but thankfully did no harm. 3 points for Brighton.
Jedinak starting at CB

Poor miss by Jedinak there. Happens but shouldn't. Good thing he's playing at this stage.

Aziz Behich to Fenerbahçe rumours continue to spread with their vice president saying they have received an offer from him but not explicitly saying the club. Some other sources say there are "clubs" interested so there could be multiple, this could be a bad translation though. While I would like him to move to a bigger league this should be a pretty safe move for continuing to get game time and possibly champions league football. The same article said Fenerbahçe were also looking at Luke Shaw which would hurt Behich's chances but that seems very unlikely.

Earlier in the year Galatasaray were also linked to Traore but he picked up an injury at the start of the month and any talk of that has cooled.

- Aziz Behich, who filled the stage with his performance in Bursaspor this season, was the transfer of many teams. It was learned that Fenerbahçe had a pulse for Aziz. Bursaspor Vice President Ali Ademoğlu clarified the transfer allegations and added: "We have received an offer for Aziz Behich, I am not the decision unit."

Barr has returned to Bradford city after just a single appearance in which he scored. Very strange especially since he is out of contract in January and I don't expect it to be renewed. Won't be able to play for a third club this season so I am guessing it is back to semi-pro for him next season

nothing wrong with fenerbahce. Our fullback positions are looking suprisingly ok if we play defensively with gersbach/behich on the left and wright doing well in a promotion chasing team on the right

If anyone wants some poor opinions on an Aussie Fullback I just had a read through the Rosenborg forum on Gersbach. At the start of the month he came out and said he needs to play (could only find the article behind a paywall), the forum seems to think if he was to go out on loan it would be to a newly promoted semi-pro team. This is because it is in the same city as Rosenborg. Apparently they only train at night and some Rosenborg players who have made the move have still partially trained at Rosenborg. The main conclusion is he played real shit this season though.

imo stunting his growth , should be starting every week so he can learn more professionally and I have witnessed the other LB at least twice, he's nothing particularly special

Socceroo Bailey Wright after eliminating Manchester United

Australian footballer Bailey Wright talks to The A League show after captaining Bristol City to an historic win over Manchester United in the League Cup quarter-finals.

The win is one of the greatest in the Championship side’s 123-year and sees them move on to face Premier League-leaders Manchester City in the semi-finals.

The 25-year-old Socceroo speaks with Billy McGee from England about the victory, his team’s bid for promotion and his reaction to Ange Postecoglou leaving the Socceroos.

“We had to believe from before the game that we could beat them.

“To create real history you’ve got to beat a team like that.

“I’ll back us against anyone.”

Behich is currently 100 miles ahead of Gersbach in terms of 2018 world cup

Gersbach may one day be better.. but right now he is a 20 year old who is sitting on his ass while Behich  is at the peak of his career and hardened up playing regularly (and well) in a tough league and is helping his club have a good season

Fenebahce is a good club but even going off elo 1623 is slightly below average of the top 4 leagues. The other thing with going to a big Turkish club is the opposition he is against. In Turkey he will play two or three other teams above 1600 but most clubs are below 1500 where say moving to a mid table Italian club would have him at a similar rated club and consistently play tougher opponents. Switching leagues does increase the chance of him not playing though.
