Inman on the bench v Tottenham, FA cup
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Rogic showed signs of where he left off, rolled his marker often and had some lively moments, but he ultimately lacked match sharpness and was playing in a very poor celtic side.
The match had he intensity of a training session and I'm positive that most a-league games are if a higher quality.

Rogic off after an hour. Good for his fitness. Wright starting at RB.

A lot of young kids on in this game, getting shut down on the ball far too easily. Not their usual flowing offense, scrappy

so 9 goals 5 assists in 1890 minutes I know its just the swiss league but thats not terrible considering the other strings in his bow (his pressing, how he gets involved in buildup)

Knows himself, knows his limitations, knows where his team mates are. He's not half bad really, could easily play in the EPL or such. I don't get why he doesn't give it a shot.

Not good enough for the EPL and would probably struggle in the Championship. He's highly over rated.

McLaren hasn't been able to nail down first team football since he left the Roar though so it is hard to compare the two. I would be interested to see what McLaren's stats look like after a full season in a European league. I don't mind Juric as a player, he's probably one of our top 3 strikers but he's not top tier league quality and it really does demonstrate our lack of options up front at present.

+xDougall starting. Goodwin not in squad. Goodwin is a decent player. These large benches in Holland are a bit of an issue. Important for him is just to play wherever in the world. I see him as a valuable extended squad member for Australia if required. Behich with another full 90. I honestly see Goodwin as having dropped well down the pecking order with having played bugger all. Petratos, Nabbout, Arzani are all playing at a higher level in the A League than what Goodwin ever produced when in Australia and the likes of Mabil, Ruka, Gol Gol is getting game time in Europe. I can't see a way in which he goes to the world cup

Time for Mass to move on.. QPR look horrible to me and hes barely involved in their games.. needs to use the WC to get a move maybe germany or italy might be a better way to a top league.

As a club they have gone so far backwards. From my understanding they were in serious trouble after getting relegated a few years back with a hefty wage bill. Perhaps they have had to compete within their means resulting in a weaker squad?

- Awer Mabil came on in the 82nd minute in Paços de Ferreira’s 1-nil loss to Setúbal. Paços drop to 15th on the ladder. Next game vs SL Benfica on the 25th Feb at 7.30am AEST.
- Anthony Carter came on in the 79th minute in Benfica B's 5-1 loss to Real SC. Benfica B drop to 11th on the ladder. Next game vs Cova da Piedade on the 26th Feb at 3am AEST.
Serie B - Gavin De Niese wasn't in the squad as CD Trofense lost 2-1 to Camacha. Trofense move down into the relegation zone. Next game vs Felgueiras 1932 on the 26th Feb at 2am AEST.
Serie C - Kristian Trajceski played 69 minutes and scored in GD Gafanha's 3-1 win over Sourense. Gafanha are 3 points away from a playoff spot. Next game vs Anadia on the 26th Feb at 2am AEST.
Nick Ansell's Tondella play tomorrow morning.

He is 26 so I'd say post World Cup a move should be beckoning for him. Being absent from game day squads of a team rooted to the bottom of the Eredivise for most part of the season hardly screams out pick me for Australia. Arzani, Petratos, Nabbout, Mabil, Mebrahtu, Rukavytsya, De Silva and Borrello have all leap frogged him to contend for the last 2-3 spots in the squad on the plane to Russia. I'd go for: Ryan, Vukovic, Jones Sainsbury, Wright, Wilkinson, Williams, Degenek, Gersbach, Behich Jedinak, Milligan, Luongo, Irvine, Rogic, Mooy Cahill, Juric, Leckie, Kruse, Arzani, Petratos, Nabbout

He was brilliant in that title run, and every chance they wouldnt have won it without him. Agreed he shouldnt and wont go now ahead of Arzani, Ikonomidis and Nabbout.

His hold up play was good enough to create chances against the germans? and his service was awful that game.

He misses to many chances.

Goodwin is also a different player to those others mentioned. They are pure wingers or can play AM or even striker. Goodwin is much better defensively, given he can play LB, but not as good at getting into goal scoring positions. Still at the moment the chances of him making the WC squad are extremely slim.

Not sure where you're getting that he's absent from match day squads for most part of the season? He's only missed 1 match day squad this season and that was their most recent game. He's been in the match day squad for 23 of their 24 games this season and has played in 18 of those games with 11 starts, 7 games off the bench and 5 games where he was an unused sub.
