Lol
People don't want FFA to pay for a second division.
Clubs agree to pay for it themselves and it is called extortion.

+x+xWhy does the AAFC require everyone to pay a fee of $10,000 just to see the bid document? Extortion. Its to pay the consultants that they have engaged to select the successful bidders. (and to establish a slush fund) Actually - the $10,000 is refundable to unsuccessful bidders - it's there to make sure that bid process is taken seriously. The equivilent of putting up a sign that reads, "No time wasters"

You dont even know what the criteria is, are expected to pay $10,000 to get it, not guaranteed a spot, and might get $8k back one day...
and to pay consultants?
yep, sounds so much different to FFA

No they have stated it will be pretty much the same as NPL criteria with some differences.
FFA have never stated any criteria. They did state "4 pillars of success"

Yes, because clubs are willing to find the league themselves.

+xYou dont even know what the criteria is, are expected to pay $10,000 to get it, not guaranteed a spot, and might get $8k back one day... and to pay consultants? yep, sounds so much different to FFA Unsuccessful bidders WILL get 80% of their money back (plus confirmation that they are out of the running), the other 20% being used to run an independent bid evaluation (rather than the FFA using every stakeholder's money to run their long bidding process before giving the licenses to their friends - and never bothering to tell the unsuccessful bidders that the process is over).

+xbut you have to hand over $10k to actually find out those differences... If you're not interested enough or able to put up $10k to see the criteria, then you really aren't any use to a professional league. If you can't handle losing $2k as an unsuccessful bidder then football certainly isn't the right business for you.

Do you expect a national 2nd division to be fully run and administrated by volunteers?

I understand that anonymous forums serve the obvious purpose of pushing agendas but may I suggest you perhaps read the whole document before you selectively quote incorrectly? In addition, why not attend your nearest AAFC roadshow? Link can be found below: http://www.australianfootballclubs.org.au/newsThis way you’ll get to iron out all your speculation and report accurately to the 442 forum audience, provided you’re open to honest and transparent forum reporting of course, and a free of speculative-based agendas. Cheers.

+x+xIt shifterd because of FFA. So FFA are still running the show. I think it is more along the lines of AAFC willingness to work with FFA. They dont want to be a rebel league.

AAFC were always open that they were going to work with FFA, APFCA, State Feds. The timeline has shifted because FFA wanted to establish a second division working group and that process has dragged on.
They're having more meetings whilst everyone is in Sydney for the FIFA.

They can't be a Rebel League, they'd be dead by end of season 1 FFA know it FFA are running the show But hey, let's look forward to 2 more mid table Franchises in FOX's chosen geographic zones. I wonder what kit they'll be wearing.

There is a bonus in the broadcast deal that could fund 2 extra teams in the 5th and 6th year. The revised league model and corporate structure that is to be negotiated this year may allow expansion and more sustainable clubs to be achieved.
