You are still contracted to play to the end of the season but are able to commence talks with other clubs and actually sign for them.

I get that you can sign pre-contracts 6 month out, but that would still mean he's contracted until June of next year and would be playing for Sydney until then (unless he's release or they pay a transfer fee).

Annoying that a lot of stat keepers don't count pens won as assists (as I think they should be)

I've never heard of them. But they are giving this Allstar cast a run for their money. 

Some of these african players are quite average. Obviously Celtic are playing lottery here using there brand in Europe to capitalise on youth.
