Rogic puts it on an absolute platter for Dembele. What they were waiting for I gather. Doesn't get much easier. Meanwhile, Scott Broon is taking out players at will. That guy never changes :Wow:

+xI’ve got nothing against the guy. I wish him all the best. Just don’t rate him. Lol you sink the boot into him on here at every opportunity.

In Bowden's defense there are a lot of posters on here who toot Langerak's horn a little too loudly. Those same people also sink the boot into Ryan and I think at this point Bowden is the high priest of the Mat Ryan church so...

Iredale on
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Those same people also sink the boot into Ryan and I think at this point Bowden is the high priest of the Mat Ryan church so... On the basis of Maty's goalkeeping until recently, I think there was a decent argument to say pick Mitch, if only as a superior shot-stopper. I hadn't watched games where Maty had actually made really brilliant saves (whereas at least I could think of such examples from Langerak). I wouldn't say it's so much sticking the boot in as much as being thoroughly unconvinced with good reason based on his lack of shotstopping and thinking it unlikely he'll become more athletic. But now the way Maty has been playing... well, he has turned a corner in areas I didn't think likely in the slightest bit. Egg needs to be wiped off face, happy to say.

Borrello can cross with his left foot now. I always thought he was potentially a superior form of Leckie if he applied himself. Was always technically superior.

Well he is already defensively as strong as leckie which is a huge asset. It's pretty rare for wingers to offer something in attack while being as defensively strong as leckie and borello

Leckie played very well last night. He is heavily involved in the corner plays, nearly nudged a header behind for incoming player to tap in. Seems to be one of their go2 players in set pieces. Other than that, the goal was unlucky. Selke was frustrated a lot at the top, can't blame him. Huddersfield had no midfield. Mooy will be a welcome player coming back. Spurs are insane though, tough gig

Borrello and Mabil and even Ikon are technically better than Leckie, so will see if any of these guys can match it Leckie and play in the Bundesliga or another big league one day.

Leckies technique flatters to deceive his touch can be heavy at times but in general his end product is quite good
