anyone who likes the away kit needs to get their eyes checked,. worst Socceroos kit i have ever seen. Everyone looks fat in it.

and continuing on with my bitch session, $120 is extortion. I know that seems to be the standard price these days, but they could at least give a 10% discount to football family members. As I prefer to try it on for size first, I'll just end up buying mine from rebel sport instead of from the official Socceroos merchandise store. No discount means they lose my money.

Well done to the FFA for scheduling this on the first day of competition in the Commonwealth Games to ensure there would be absolutely zero media exposure.

Pretty sure most people hated the current kit on the release day too, and the one before that and so on.

I think both tops are good. just need green shorts on the home kit and white socks for both and we are good to go. Not likely for either though.

I think they are starting to grow on me. I’m not opposed to the full banana look (it’s certainly “Unique”). And I can't stand white socks so I'm happy with yellow there.  
I’d like to see them in person before making a final judgement. Are the wave patterns in black or a really dark green? They need to be greener for me, but I don’t mind them. And the comets on the away strip seem to have some kind of design within them that I’d like to see in person.
Also a big fan of the Commonwealth Star on the back of the collar.

It's almost as if Brazil trumped us for preferred colours. Corruption. 

Ours are ugly but if it's any consolation so is pretty much ever single other countries strips. 
Out of 64 strips both home and away I only rated about 6.

Ulsan v Victory and the opening ceremony were on at the same time.

The opening ceremony rated over 2 million in the 5 metro areas, and the ACL got less than 30k, being outside the top 20 pay TV shows that night.

And if were the night before or after it would have been something else.  One minute we're all saying 'who cares about what other codes think' and the next 'we need clear air'.

This is a media event, not a game. They could have had it any day they wanted. Putting it on the same day as the start of a home Commonwealth Games was not smart.

Waiting until the Matildas were already out of the country was also a miss.

The main part of my point comparing the ratings was in reply to Davide's sarcastic comment, anyway.

Can't imagine the ACL game would have had significantly higher numbers were it not up against the opening ceremony.

I have questions :
Who at FFA actually gets to pick the jersey style ? ie ..is it just a  case of what ever takes a few Bureaucrat Board members fancy  ? or are there "experts" involved ? (Not being sarcastic really interested to know how this process works)
Why can't we have contrasting shorts if we wish ? Other countries do ? if not ....why can other countries have them and not us ?
