If the well supported Scots can only sell 1100 pre sale I can't see Australia selling above 2000. https://meccsjegy.mlsz.hu/hun/Event/57002305/Magyarorszag---AusztraliaI reckon block E has been reserved for Australia. The red in the squad other corner appears to be the Fan or family block.

+xNedved’s gonna tear us a new one. What a player. They had some very good players in the 2000s. Nedved, Baros, Koller, Rosicky etc. They actually only qualified for 1 World Cup from France 98 onwards, that being 2006 in Germany. Just shows how tough qualifying out of Europe is, if we needed any reminding.

Just shows how tough qualifying out of Europe is, if we needed any reminding. Did a bit of reading. 2002 they missed out in the playoffs against Belgium. Euro 2004 was their tournament. What a team and run. Killed the group with Germany, Netherlands and Latvia. This was when Germany had their wake up call and reformed a lot. They smashed Denmark 3:0 then lost 1:0 to a Greece silver goal (leading at half time in extra time.) 2006 started perfectly against the USA then an early shock goal by Ghana couldn't see them catch up and Italy were too hard and they went out. I recall it as it were yesterday. We had the early game against Japan. I was absolutely buzzing and my HSC just wasn't important in comparison. I stayed up and was amazed at that Czech game on next plus Italy Ghana at 5am in Hannover showing me what stadium I'd be seeing by the end of the year. Went to school so energised and many tipped Czech Republic to go far that day. Rosicky had a blinder.

They're decent but nowhere near their glory days. A couple of younger players are coming through and they should be stronger. Shick from Roma will be a good challenge for our defence and Pavlenka is a great goalkeeper at Bremen.

CR threw it away against Northern Ireland after taking it to Germany in that group. The team should have made it to the second stage of qualifying despite being at a pretty low ebb. A lot of what's happening to Czech football is a consequence of the Velvet divorce splitting the old Czechoslovak system in two. The Slovaks are faring better at this stage.

BAck to the team selection, i think we need to see:
Ryan
Karacic (have to find out if he is any good) Jedinak (should find out if he fits this position or not) Sainsbury (need him played into form against high level opposition and test the combination with Jedinak) Behich
Arzani (i think it is very important to test him at this level to see if he rises/improves or not) Mooy (he is our best midfielder and we need a result and to find get our best midfield playing well) Luongo (needs to become our second midfielder) Rogic (i would like to see him experimented with on the left wing where he would have more room to move)
Irvine (Mooy Luong Irvine does seem to be the best triangle, if Rogic is outwide i think we need to test it) Cahill (Needs match time and we need to check he is still up to it. Anything less than 90 mins would be ridiculous imo. he is playing to retain his spot in the squad)
Subs Meredity for Behich at half time. Susjnar for Sainsbury at half time (he needs time and to see if he is up to scratch Milligan to replace Jedinak at some stage depending on form. (milligan needs practice at this level in defence) Leckie to place Karacic at half time (but only if he is poor) Need to give Leckie practice in the position if Karacic is not up to it to see if Leckie is. Troisi to replace Irvine or Rogic at some stage. (he has a habit of doing okay at this level when needed. We need to make sure he is either played back into form and stil up to it, or he doesnt make the squad.) Nabout/Petratos - To be trialled at some stage Other subs to depend on the game, training, fitness etc.

+x+x+xLike the squad but I would start Petratos over Kruse. At 60-70 minsArzani for LeckieKruse for PetratosMooy for RogicMilligan for LuongoNabbout for MaclarenDeGenek for SainsburyGersbach for BehichVukovic for RyanFull game forKaracicSusnajrIrvine Agree with that. Baffled by Kruse's continued inclusion. Punchable face and creates nothing when playing for Australia. I'm hearing on Facebook that Petratos is going to be cut also. Hope not. Kruse scores less than Scott McDonald did. Let that sink in S.p.u.d Huh? I'm far from a Kruse fan, but he's scored 5 from 62 compared to McDonald's 0 from 26. And he's not a striker.

Wrote another email to the Hungary FA. They initially said there'll be no gate sales for away fans so how is this supposed to work? Surely they'll just offer the tickets on the day. Only 2 weeks to go.

Ffs so the Hungary FA reply with the FFA contact details from the website. They said they can't sell tickets to Australians.

In regards to Hungary tickets, I don’t think it’s uncommon that they’re difficult.
I’ve got a few mates over in Scotland with the Tartan Army and they had an absolute nightmare with gate tickets. About 100 odd missed out in the friendly there last international break. One mate that already had a ticket took a photo from inside the stadium and it was only about 30% full.

Yes above there's a press release about that. Hungary have told me they don't sell tickets a RB the gate for away fans. Did your mate say gate tickets were actually sold to Scotland fans? There was info that the Hungarian FA offered more tickets to the Scottish FA but they didn't want to manage such a large quantity and therefore decided to ward off Scottish fans travelling to Budapest without tickets. The website has block E sold out which I expect is being reserved for Australia fans.
