The overwhelming fact remains that Trump only was elected because the Americans were too apathetic to get off their lardy arses and vote as they thought it a fait accomplis. A lesson learned. When the truths about Trump are published the book will make War & Peace look like a comic. If this were the script of a tv show no one would believe it.

There's a lot of truth in that, but it also lets The Democrats off the hook and they deserve to hang on it. They chose the most unpopular candidate in history, even more unpopular than the 2nd most unpopular candidate in history - Trump (and that's damning of them).

And there's still massive problems in the Democratic Party that would give good reason for even hardened Democrats to vote Republican given any other candidate than Trump. Given Trump they just don't vote at all.

The anger of the "swamp" and corporate Democrats is very real. They are a pitiful party at present still caught up with too many top end Clinton types with all the corporate connections that the Republicans are rightly criticised for.

That's why it's set up for Bernie to do a Trump in 2020. Come in sweep the primary's against the Democratic machine simply because Democrats will take mad Bernie over establishment Democrats any day of the week much like Republicans took Traitorous Trump over establishment Republicans.

Americans are sick of lobbyists, donors and all the rest of them and will reach for just about anyone else.

I always say the pendulum swings in politics, thankfully in Australia it swings gently but always. Trump has taken it so far to the right the swing back is gonna be all momentum and Red Bernie will be riding it.

My opinion is that if they're going after Oates (to play backrower) and Hipgrave, they mustn't have much hope of hanging onto Martin who SUPPOSEDLY has a huge SL offer as well as a sniff from NRL clubs.

I said the other day at 26 next year, his next contract is the one that he'll be looking to cash in big time on. It could very well be he's asking for the same sort of money that Oates would be or maybe even more, and good for him so he should.

Martin has also missed 100% of his last conversion attempt...Corey Oates would surely be on too much coin to come here. Isaaka or is it Osaka.. looks a good centre type a la Gagai. We need a bit of a nutcase in the forwards to instill a bit of fear. Hipgrave fits the bill. There must be a hidden Ewen McGrady x factor in Narrabri or similar....Gilgandra...Warren....

My preference above all options would be to keep Martin because he could be anything and can kick goals. But he certainly has attracted a lot of attention and if he's got a SL offer then we're talking serious NRL money. Even still, I'd rather we keep him and fit that serious NRL money in.

Oates also could be anything and would be on serious NRL money too, thoughI doubt it would be as much as you may think Steve. He's putting himself up for a paycut wanting to go to the backrow instead of a wingers traditional wish to move to fullback for the money, so he's looking for involvement above a pay packet at this stage of his career.

But yeah, he'd probably come a bit dearer than Martin though I wouldn't be surprised if it's not that much given SL interest in Martin. I'd imagine these are the things Pay Ando and co are pondering right now.

Still rather keep Martin but if the replacement's Oates I could live with it. But he better learn how to kick goals.

Yeah, it was fine until the Tony article post, then it became horizontal scrolling madness. Once off page #20 & onto page #21 it was fine again.

Samsung phones are android, but they have the Asian spyware (custom ROM) as well as the American spyware. That's one of the reasons why I got the new Nokia, no Asian spyware just the American spyware. There isn't one without any spyware, unfortunately. I just wanted one without the bloat-ware or custom ROM's as well, which ruled out every brand except Nokia & Google itself for getting pure android (& the faster more frequent updates).
