Game day .. Go Dogs .....
I am hoping for an improved showing.....
The Tigers have been good the last couple of weeks..
We really need to lift our game and get our act together to be a chance of winning ....
All things considered, I would have preferred we did that last week, but if it happen I will take it...
I'm not going to have a dummy spit if we lose ... we don't have the cattle .. it will be a minor miracle if Pay can get us to win a few games...

Apparently a very talented youngster Jack Hartwig from Forbes has signed with the Dogs for 2 years.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+xits not from T K steve its a mail micheal lichha has been told 2 look around you seem 2 amaze me ,my source if you need 2 know i was @ belmore sports ground the day after chris anderson was on nrl 360 & i was having a chat with a few people in the car park i stayed for 10 mins as i need 2 get something & while i was there i said hello 2 eastwood & buy the way it seems he will be buying a garbage dump truck & will be doing that ,i said hellow to hopa as he walked past me & 2 of the guys out of the blue were talking about lichha in front of me & thats why i posted it so you dont have 2 believe me again it dosnt bother me Tony, im a believer - especially on this one. In fact, even if its not true or you mis-heard.....the more we talk about it, the more chance the club will hear it whispered and might follow suit! Actually for 150k, Michael Lichaa is probably a good squad player. But if he is in the top 17 or wants more money, the club has rocks in its head. And so do you for thinking he is in the good squad player status :) Like I said....you HAVE to have 30 players in your top squad. At 150k I think its mutually beneficial for both club and player. 150k in the real world is bloody good money so he shouldn't feel undervalued. But he shouldn't be seeing first grade unless the first choice options are out. No place in my Top 30 even if $1 :) What does a good goal shooter get nowadays? Would love for the BDP to be an emoji and "lol free" zone Steve free even better lol ;) :)

Rochow dropped for McQueen in the end. A few less nightmares for me after what he did a few years back..

+x$10..... Dman will reappear now that his boyfriend Holland scored Actually Holland runs some very good lines and especially close to the line. If the hooker or halves or even forwards are alert, they could put hom through. In fact if they did the same they too might score

Good game! It looks like they are getting used to each other, so hopefully begin to trust one another. I thought late in the second half they shut up shop prematurely, attempting to protect the lead and were on the verge of letting another one slip away, but to their credit, they rallied together from that Lewis regathering, run and penalty and went on with the job. Still a long way to go, but it's good to see some entertaining footy re-appearing in our attack.

+xWe were awesome . Lewis is a good signing isn't he ? Very impressed with Lewis. Only a rookie but defends like a seasoned veteran. Cogger has no hope playing top grade unless he takes Forans spot.

There were some telling things about Lewis last night. He was MoM or close to it, at minimum the most influential player on the field, in a rocks and diamonds display.
He did as many poor things as good things, particularly in the first half, most around decision making - poor kicks, forced passing, over-calling for the ball and over playing his hand, yet despite that still the best player on the field and more importantly didn't let the f*** ups affect him not one little bit.
And two things that sum him up, that hit from.. whatsisname... Lewis was flattened like few have been and yet won the ptb, he should have actually got a penalty for the second effort to stop him getting up. Big balls.
Stopping that kick and regathering the ball. Stopping the kick with the leg out like that really is an amateur play, 9 times out of 10 results in six again. When he did it I thought you idiot, but the effort for the regather, getting up, winning the penalty. Biiiiiiiiiiiig balls.
From that second on I actually thought we'd win or not depending on whether Lewis could get us home. It was all on him and i think he's gonna be that sort of player. When the game's on the line, he steps up, don't shrink back - I'll get us home.
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuge nuts.

+x+xWe were awesome . Lewis is a good signing isn't he ? Very impressed with Lewis. Only a rookie but defends like a seasoned veteran. Cogger has no hope playing top grade unless he takes Forans spot. Lewis is signed for two years so we don't have to force ourselves into a decision just yet. Next year we just pick the best 17 players and then find positions for them. If that best 17 includes Lewis, Foran and Cogger then Lewis plays in the centers. We don't have to make hard decisions yet so don't make it hard, just play your best 17. 2020 however Lewis is gonna be in demand season end and I'd say from his point of view he'll probably demand the #6 and to keep him we'll have to give it to him and it'll be an easy decision to make. That's when a hard decision based outside of who's your best 17 will have to be made. And if Foran is fit and still playing he'll be in the last year of his contract so the automatic selection based on the amount we're paying him if not goes completely out the window, goes somewhat out the window. So then Foran can compete for a spot like everyone else.

just finished watching the press conference gee dean pay looked happy answering the journos questions , & deano also said there are still 4 positions open in the dogs squad or in English we have some money available 2 make a few more player buys & we will spend this money wisely for the right players , i for 1 dont want cory oates not for the money he is asking just another reasonable centre would be a good investment ,our forwards are still good though brett & josh morris will be sorely missed out wide

So Zef, you see what I and probably everyone else in here sees. Lewis is shaping to be a first grader with talent and I agree with what you say he has balls of steel and a big ticker. He also has excellent RL genes and will be a thinking player. I believe he may be the one that will pull us through those last 15-20 minutes of our games because he reads the play so well. ATM though he is finding his feet and his rhythm but he'll get there.

All jokes aside, he did play rather well last night. I am hoping that that the effort displayed is more akin to the team improving as opposed to them "jagging" a lucky win. From what I witnessed it appears to be the former and we are improving as the season winds down.

Personally, I think the Dogs should leave all new acquisitions until next year and play out the balance of the season with what we have to ensure we are aware of what we need.

He is a 2019 signing bud, June 30 has come and gone.
And though I'd like to see some other positions strengthened first, he is the sort of above value for money signing I'm looking for. I like the.... "smart shopping."
But now I want to see it applied to some outside backs.

All 3 grades win that doesn't happen often. Happy with the Sue signing. Runs and tackles hard.
