I know there will be no one else coming this year. What I was trying to say is that instead of targeting specific players now for next year, ascertain exactly what positions we need to fill and deal with them first.

Cool. We stay on top of them. This is one of the best spoon battles for years... If parra knocks off Soufs, it could be a 4 team last place shoot out!

Manly stumbling into the race for the spoon could be good for us...
Bloddy Souths the only time I want them to win, they don't look like delivering.

Conspiracy buried. Hopefully Parra and Manly battle it out for the woodware and we can get a little space between us and the cellar.

I only saw the first half of the 2nd match. Parra were leading comfortably. Just saw the report/final score & the Eels also choked badly. If only it could happen to Easts this week, it'd be quite a trifecta.

Marki, I saw your comment and decided to take a sneak peek at that game. Are you sure about Slater? I think Canberra's dumb football is making Melb look better than they really are.

The players still deserve to be flogged in the off season for losing to Parra ... but they are on the road to redemption. ..

Had a tough life....His dad left home when he was 3 and didn't leave much for his mother and him....merely a guitar and an empty bottle.of booze. He had to grow up fast and develop a keen wit.

Jessica Yates on Fox's NRL Sunday Ticket just made a comment on the Roosters vs Dragons this afternoon as a "possible semi-final dress rehearsal"....
Is it a freudian slip on what could be a fixed comp or was it just her assuming they could meet in a semi rather than a GF?

Off topic a little here..... Isn't it odd that so many footy players these days have a name starting with J? Josh, Jason, Jeremy, Jesse, Jack, Jordan. Nearly half the Raiders start with J. Even more interesting are the amount of names in this years race for AFL Coleman medal (leading goal kicker for those that don't know) https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_goal_kickersIncredible

Thanks Marki. Rugby League fans are about as aware of the Coleman medal as AFL fans are of the Dally M medal.

I saw a bit of the reserve grade game. .. Woolford, Harper, Bergamin and Carr look like NRL players to me.
Signing Corey Oats to play as a 2nd rower looks a smart move to me.
We have multiple good options for wing and fullback.
Hoppa, Holland, Lewis, Harper, Montoya and Bergamin are the options in the centres.
Harper might need another season in reserve grade.
I'm happy with Cogger, Foran, Lewis and JMK in the halves.
What we probably need is a strike centre with pace...
Overall we should have a reasonable side.

Post poor crowd at Allianz for the roosters vs dragons game....or so it looks like on the eastern stand and behind goals. Dragons usually have good travelling fans and this being a sydney game, and them on top of the ladder, I cant see why the crowd is so poor....

All 10 of the Roosters fans are there ... that isn't the problem. .. 😊

Everytime a team struggles in attack this year, they throw too many passes and move the ball slowly.
We are not the only team with that problem.
What they need to do instead is run hard on to the ball with support,

The problem is Big T, the past month has seen Segeyaro’s value double off the back of some really good performances.....
Like I said last week, Oates in the 2nd row would be brilliant for the team
All we need is some speed in the backline & another No.9
Lichaa played well vs Tigers, but he just can’t string good games back to back this kid at all, and the most frustrating thing about him is when we are in the Attacking red zone.... the awful attacking sets really start from him

HD, apparently a player from the Storm called Scott Drinkwater refused a Dogs contract for 2019
I’m not sure what position he plays.... I think it’s in the halves
If that’s the case.... then that would kill off them K Elgey rumours we’ve signed him

I'd rather we sign Seggy than Oates...we have enough backrowers with Smith and Nelson showing lots of promise from ISP.
Need a fast centre and an agile, running frontrower.
