Not quite true. They were lucky enough to identify and obtain some of the most gifted players of a generation at a young age. Smith 19 Slater 20 Cronk 21 Inglis 18 Folau 18So you see it’s all about talent identification not buying in Marquee players. Rarely does buying in Marquee players result in long term success. I have more faith in the current board and their management than I ever did in the previous. Don’t forget it was Chris Anderson who was instrumental in setting up the storm system

Isn't that what I said?

BTW, I don't know how Smith was 19 and Slater 20 when they were born on the same day, nor how Cronk overtook them by a year when he was born 6 months after them.

Big opportunity for us to avoid the spoon with a win in this game.

The Cows and Parra played well but lost, hence our opportunity.

It is hard for bottom teams to register wins against contenders, but turning up ready helps.

Big opportunity indeed. In a way it's their 2018 grand final (albeit to avoid the wooden spoon).
It's very unlikely they'll get another chance with both the other last placed teams having losses the same round.
Just don't mention to Nancy who is on the bench for Brown or she might fall off her chair with palpitations..

We'll win, but....

Take a look at that bench. I know there's plenty that think we have enough forwards but not of the type we need. I read yesterday that Deano's looking to fill another two spots for next year, one being an outside back, and the other being... wait for it.... a forward. And so he should be

Because yes we need one, an impact forward. I'm sorry but I don't rate Danny Lololololo at all and have little more for Ogdan whatever, Renouf whomever and all the rest of the ones who've been tried and overwhelmed us with indifference throughout the season.

We need a bench with IMPACT that lifts the tempo and enthusiasm when we rotate. At present once Klem goes of the opposition just laughs at us.

I'd really like the bench next year to include The Boy named Sue, and RFM and maybe even Elliot (who though has a f***up in every game comes on at a 1000 mph). So we might need another starting forward or two OR someone with impact on the bench as it's likely that one of RFM and/or Elliot will have to be starting.

We need mongrel on the bench or all your halves and the rest even Valentine Holmes himself, can just give up after 20 mins if we haven't racked up a 20 point lead before we get rolled over

That bench for today is pathetic, I think we'll win because The Warriors are The Warriors and if we can dent them early they'll drop their heads.

But when considering how the positions we need filled for next year and you rattle off your halves your hookers, your fullback you centers, remember that bench is a position, a crucial one, and we've not had as bare or underwhelmning bench since interchange started.

I'll go so far as to say if our bench options next year are limited to within - we should keep Eastwood. He's the only one in the club at present (fit) who fills the job requirement.

Remember the name John McGahn. If... when... Trump starts tweeting to discredit him I'm sure you'll hear his name.

Anyway, who is he? - White House Counsel.

Who is....

"Worried that Mr Trump would eventually blame him in the inquiry, Mr McGahn has told people he is determined to avoid the fate of the White House Counsel for President Nixon, John W Dean, who was imprisoned in the Watergate Scandal"

How determined? Well he's got himself his own Attorney and has now given Mueller 30 hours... and counting... of testimony.

Not much wrong with the bench. Its standard type. Form or skill level however....
Its the same as last few weeks with exception of Frawley as the utility playmaker in lieu of Nu Brown. In my opinion the Frawley - Lewis halves combo is our best and JMK should be rotating Lichaa.

Eastwood came on with some gusto last week so hope he continues that form. The problem with Fualalo is he tends to either submit in tackles and is still slow playing the ball, or gets dominated and is slow. When he tries to play fast, he either loses it in the tackle or while playing the ball. Graham was the same  it's just that he had a late pass on him.

I wouldn't be throwing away good money to stiffen up the bench. Thus is the area where you look within and build them up. These are your 250k players.
