Hell hath no fury. Good for her for continuing the stick the boot in, the circumstances of her departure was an absolute disgrace.

+xHas an EGM been called by FFA ? Not seen confirmation, although any of the Pro-CRWG 6 are entitled to call it, so no doubt will have done at the first opportunity

Ray Gatt The overhaul of the governance of Australian soccer has moved a step closer with world governing body FIFA reported to have rubber-stamped the Congress Review Working Group recommendations. It is understood the CRWG report was passed following a meeting of FIFA member associations in Zurich on Monday, clearing the way for its recommendations to be put to a Football Federation Australia extraordinary general meeting in Sydney on September 7. https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/fifa-green-light-for-governance-reforms/news-story/86b0522bd19573402ce33be5061e17f0

Vote away boys. If congress reform sinks, 3/4 of these names will be remembered for it.

It took by the looks of it, 7 days from FIFA meeting on Ghana to the press release getting published.

Do you think FIFA would issue embargoed press releases to some backwater journo in Sydney Australia? Come on.

The press releases go to all registered and accredited News agencies. Which he works for one from memory. The story he wrote is hinting at the green stamp being approved. Harley-Davidson just release a new model to the market within 1/2 hour(after embargo ended) The magazines released full road test articles and video of them testing it. They did not do the article in 1/2 hr and digitally make a video of a bike they had not seen before.

“Having considered all relevant factors, the Committee welcomed with great appreciation the efforts of the CRWG and the report it produced,” FIFA said in a release dated 22 August and signed by FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura. “It further confirmed that the proposed recommendations are fully in line with FIFA’s requirements, in particular Art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes. “…the Committee moved that the recommendations of the CRWG be submitted to an extraordinary meeting of the FFA to be convened as soon as possible in accordance to the regulatory framework of the FFA. “Finally, the Committee instructed the FIFA administration to provide it with an update on the matter at its upcoming meeting on 26 September 2018.” “The Committee was also apprised of the reservations and objections expressed by the FFA Board as well as four of the nine Member Federations, namely Capital Football, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Northern NSW, regarding certain aspects of the CRWG’s recommendations,” the letter read “In this context, the Committee also took note of the response by the CRWG to these comments.” Sauce not Fax

If anything. A stronger Australian Football System weakens NZ Football further. So be careful what you wish for.

+xCan someone please explain what’s happening here? Like in a nutshell for a dummy The A league clubs and the PFA have used an independent committee to get the FFA to change is voting structure. FIFA have endorsed this independent report, which basically says to the FFA Board 'change your ways or we will sack/suspend you'.

And yes it is an Australian Football Constitutional Matter - But has great interest to anyone from abroad who follows Australian Football

As I understand it; Corporations Act requires 21 days notice for the EGM from when a 5% member calls it. We now await the EGM confirmation

+xAs I understand it; Corporations Act requires 21 days notice for the EGM from when a 5% member calls it. We now await the EGM confirmation " FFA must give notice for an extraordinary general meeting to put the resolutions forward for adoption no later than September 7." Meeting date not set in stone YET - FIFA expect result by 25th September to make deadline.
