I think 433 is right, Dutton wins hopefully an election is called, he gets smashed at the election someone more right centre right is brought in who isn’t a social dinosaur

That's what you and I want but the the problem is half the party wants to go more right the other half wants to stay moderate.  Whoever comes will have exactly the same problem Malcolm had.

'Social dinosaurs' are half the liberal party.

The scary part is that Social Dinosaurs are making up to 40% of the total population.

I think the liberal party needs to split down the middle and form a new party.  Half can choof off to Bernadi's party or join the Hansonite brigade and the rest can be what used to be, historically at least, "liberals".

The Liberal party was never meant to be a party of conservative values.  It's become that but that's only over the last decade really.

So all the Right faction of the party ended up doing was tanking their chances at the general election AND didn't even get their guy in power. How incompetent can you get?

The 3 dickheads who voted for a spill , now thinking , "what have I done?"

Yup. Hard to know if they genuinely thought that Dutton had the backing and they were just going with the tide and we baited, or if they also thought that Mal had to go.

My sneaky suspicion is ScoMo had this set up from the get go haha.

Beetoota gold as usual.....

The nation of Australia has extended a polite request to the Former Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton today.

Australia as a collective country has asked the highway cop from the Sunshine Coast to ‘please, go home, c__unt.’

The request comes after Peter Dutton, and his conservative backbench allies and media backers have held the country to ransom over the last fortnight, in a vain attempt to “regain control” of the Liberal Party of Australia.

At the end of the day we have a better PM. Turnbull was too far left and Dutton was too right. Now we have a guy who will stand up to the lefttard bullshit while uniting both sides of the party. II wouldve preferred Dutton but he isnt electable... yet.

Yeah Rus, the whole shebang was brought about by the shambles of the NEG and, in part, Turnbull trying to carve out an exemption for the banks for the company tax cuts in order to get them through the Senate.

And who exactly is the PM and the deputy PM?  Why the architect of the company tax cuts and the architect of the NEG.  So yeah. Well done the liberal party.

The fact is Morrison is a moderate that will do nothing to bring the far right into the middle.  It's business as usual or as that rocket scientist George Christensen said the other day 'it's like putting pig on a lipstick'.

Surely you realise this is more layered than NEG and tax cuts? What about the collapse in primary vote? What about the zillion consecutive newspoll losses? Ultimately the party room felt Turnbull, like Abbott, couldnt win the election, and thus tossed him. Heck it worked last time, might as well go another round.

Btw way there is no “far right” in the Liberal Party. Believing in a border policy and enforcing it doenst make one a far right winger, fascist or Nazi. There are just slurs people on the left use to make themselves feel more centre.

Ultimately the party room felt Turnbull, like Abbott, couldnt win the election, and thus tossed him. Heck it worked last time, might as well go another round.

Yes but Turnbull has been replaced by the 2 blokes who were responsible for most of the stuff that caused the ruckus in the first place.  Even today a lot of the commentary was about how hard Josh Frydenburg worked for months and months on one of the most complicated pieces of legislation only to have it pissed away by Abbot and a few other knuckle draggers that can't see the writing on the wall.

And if you say Turnbull was unelectable you may want to check those preferred PM polls just a day ago that had Dutton last after Turnbull, Bishop, Morrison and a plank of wood.

Personally I wish they gave Bishop a crack but as usual Sky were putting the boot in today with bigheaded Peta Credlin calling her 'Turnbull in a skirt' and making sure they were running as much interference as they could.  They are a disgrace.  I heard that flog Paul Murray today say something like 'WE' got our man elected today before quickly correcting himself to say 'THEY' got their man elected.

The only thing funny about today is Hadley, Jones, Sky News, 2GB thought sure as eggs there man Dutton was in only to see him disappear like a fart in the wind.

Will be interesting to see how long the detente lasts because Russ, if you remember, Ray Hadley booted Morrison off his show some time back so he already dislikes him immensely.

3 change of votes and Scomo is out.

I'll say one more thing.  Dutton, one of only 6 MP's to walk out on the 'sorry' speech in Parliament.  That tells you all you need to know about that bloke. (But given your commentary on a possible indigenous jersey you probably think he's one of the only blokes that did the right thing.)

Shorten a hiding? Lolz. Theres a big difference between a playful send up of one side of politics, and outright abuse and denigration of the other. But then again, it takes a discerning mind to spot the difference.
