Livescore got his name wrong, have him listed as Mohammed Amini.

Aarhus are doing quite well, they drew against Copenhagen in their last match.

Kruse has the ball cleared into his shins and can run and break only to be grabbed by the last man. Instead of continuing his run he turns and screams to the ref. He'd have broken the grasp had he kept running.

Interesting to see if he gets on. Sural and Tetteh starting. Not sure if they are playing with Tetteh alone up front and Sural on the wing or with 2 upfront Sural supporting Tetteh.
They're playing against Bohemians... The club with the Kangaroo mascot and emblem:)

Still nil all in Sparta match. 54th min. 1st Sparta sub made The Romanian international Stanciu off for Czech under21 player Michal sacek. Mebrahtu still on bench

Pasquali on the bench (reserves)
Mells not in the squad. Can't see him breaking through.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Kruse subbed off. Upon entering the Bochum technical area he turns left to a Bochum official, perhaps a doctor or assistant coach of above 50, and gives him a mouthful. Not entirely sure what was going on there. The older bloke stayed seated and avoided eye contact.

Kruse's sight was straight ahead with two of his team mates looking oddly in that team official's direction. Lip reading now Kruse definitely said 'fucking dickhead.' Another older bloke seated nearer to Kruse than his target put his arm in the way and Kruse half-lashed with a hand at the bloke's face.

Sparta score in 61st minute through captain, talisman and czech international Josef Sural. Sural was their top scorer last season with only 7 in 25 odd games probably why mebrahtu was signed. Currently 78th minute, 2 subs remaining

Reports now it was the team physio. Commentators saying he's left the bench. One might assume here he shouldn't have done or said what he did. Kruse got whacked a few times in the game so perhaps the physio was annoyed or concerned of his getting knocked around.

Found it... looks like it was 3-4-3. This is good news for Mebrahtu who can play RW and CF. Judging from the lineup today and formation looks like he's 2nd RW and 3rd CF as it currently stands. .

Czech league is only 30 games and only 1 cup tournament. Sparta haven't qualified for Europe at all this yr having finished fifth last term, so not too many games for golgol. He's only been in the club about 4 days though so wait for a few weeks for peak fitness to assess where he sits in pecking order

There was an article last week going around with Arzani saying how Rodgers convinced him to come to Celtic after 1 phone call.

I read all Celtic forums and listen to all podcasts and keep hearing how Lawell forced Arzani on Rodgers with no one providing any evidence.

I doubt Lawell forces anything on Rodgers.

From memory, reading about the transfer when it was first touted, Rogers was saying he'd heard about the boy and that he was the youngest at the world cup, I remember thinking this guy hasn't even seen him play

Here is what is reported to have been said at the start.

https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/celtic/brendan-rodgers-in-the-dark-about-celtic-s-link-to-daniel-arzani-1-4774042

"Brendan Rodgers has again distanced himself from Celtic’s transfer activity, insisting he has no involvement in the club’s pursuit of Australian international midfielder Daniel Arzani. The Celtic manager watched his side come from behind at Parkhead to take a 3-1 first leg lead against Rosenborg in their Champions League second qualifying round tie.Rodgers enthused about the quality of his team’s recovery on a night when record £9 million signing Odsonne Edouard shone as he scored twice. But Rodgers was less buoyant when asked about Celtic’s interest in 19-year-old Arzani who is poised to join Manchester City and then be immediately loaned out by the English champions.“I can’t tell you anything about him or anyone else,” said Rodgers. “All I know is he is a young Australian, a very talented player. He came on in the World Cup and looked very, very good.“But I’ve nothing on any player. The club are working hard behind the scenes to try to get some signings in. I think he’s one who has been identified.”

A number of posters on TalkCeltic are naming Arzani in their starting line up for tomorrows game against Hamilton. It is unlikely that this will occur unless he has got his fitness up to speed more quickly than expected. Perhaps, he may  be seen as a good option to use to unlock a packed Hamilton defence.

Yeah I would love Arzani to play some role tomorrow night but I can't see him being ready fitness wise just yet. Plus I would rather he make his debut in a Bein TV game rather than rely on a match on a Celtic TV illegal stream lol
As for Rodgers comments on Arzani initially I have this hunch it was all ducks and drakes so he didn't sign for anyone else.

Amazing post. Thanks DS98.

I prefer it when we use the players names instead of their clubs. Too hard to remember who is where. Especially with the amount of transfers that happened recently.

Just chasing up on google whats happening to some of the fringe younger players and noticed that this thread missed the 1st team debut of Ryan Blumberg at Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup on the 15th. Yeah they lost 3-0 and from this article he doesnt have too many expectations for being in the first team squad much this year but for a 19yo its still not a bad achievement and potentially one to keep an eye on for the future:

Either he's got an injury or a club has made contact and he's on the move. Likely the former.

there's a lot of players from world cups getting late starts to the season. it could be nothing. either way, he will be getting good minutes if he stays with the club.

looks like he's got a niggle.

"Mathew Leckie will miss Hertha BSC's Bundesliga debut. Head coach Pál Dárdai confirmed on Wednesday, according to "kicker", that the Australian will miss the home game against 1. FC Nürnberg (Saturday, 13.30).
For two weeks, Leckie must have an inner stretch in his knee. Already in the middle of the month Dárdai had pointed out that in the case of the 27-year-old, caution must be exercised. There is still no prognosis on when to expect Leckie again."
