There should be a breakdown of full memebrship and part time membership.I don't know why the governments aren't onto this. They give out money based on shonky figures. It makes you think it's a conspiracy .

What should every club be aiming for this year?
Adelaide last year: 6906 (8,000)
Brisbane last year 9345 (11,000)
CCM last year (7124) Honestly should be happy to keep that
Melbourne City (11215) 12,000
Victory (26095) 25,000
Newcastle: (9195) McKinna wants to beat the all time record which is 11,200
Perth (9368) 11,000
Sydney (14834) 16,000
Wellington (5289) not sure what their aim would be
WSW (19007) 22,000 with the new stadium coming and new coach

This is the first year in donkeys years I can remember we haven’t had someone calling for a membership boycott.

+xTHE membership page on the a league website https://www.a-league.com.au/membershipThanks, did not know that. Do not know how up to date they are, but those figures suggest NZ may be a little slow starting?

The Nix numbers are beyond a joke. There are regional NPL clubs with twice the numbers.

Shouldn't Mariners be on about 10k by now thanks to Bolt?

+xEveryone is down bar Roar Newcastle is quite clearly on the up.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Down ~5k But this time last year we were 2 weeks closer to the start of the season. The season starts 2 weeks later this year. Comparing in 2 weeks to those figures would be a fairer comparison.

Yeah, down about 5k on the same time last year with only Roar/Jets showing an upswing. Not exactly inspiring and clearly Honda hasn’t kicked along Victory membership.

@ patjennings
That is true (and maybe Mid can dig out the figures for +2 weeks last season) but I don’t think it’s going to make much difference - the ffa have the opportunity to get marketing right this year and not have an invisible season launch and yet another ”you’ve gotta have a team” campaign. But really, without the major issues affecting the game being resolved does any one expect an upswing in membership and attendances?

Can't help but feel if the preseason wasn't so long there'd be a lot more renewals and with the world cup a chance for quite a few new members.

Yeah - I'm not expecting much of a difference - just trying to get the measure right.

I know for a fact a few friends of mine haven’t renewed there memberships at Sydney due to the stadium arrangement. It sucks but it’s out of our control. Just an idea as to why Sydney’s numbers are lower

Isn't it interesting that CCM membership is down 35% despite the massive media attention that Bolt has generated. Perhaps actual football fans dont want to pay to watch a circus. Roll the excuses.....

Roll the excuses..... Would be interesting to see how many of the memberships were sold after the Bolt rumours started. Low memberships could also be to do with Magic Mike signing a bunch of NPL players and fans thinking they won't be at all competitive this season. Perhaps sick of seeing their team get smashed?
