+x+xI thought the spine went well last night. Frawley going off injured after 15mins was unfortunate & it's a shame that he had to finish his time at the club that way, but it was a good break from Cleeland that got a brilliant try, also Brown did a good kick for another try which made the difference in a close final score, so as Nancy said the result could've ended up differently if Frawley stayed on & had a shocker. Woolford being on the bench was handy to cover for Brown moving to the halves. The middle forwards were strong & got a few tries & the kicking from Martin also proved the difference. The edge defence is a worry though & they're lucky saints didn't wake up & start attacking until 10mins to go. If there was another 5mins they looked like they'd lose it. Some saints guy tried to put a big hit on Eastwood, who just got up laughing with a what was that? look on his face. Not 2mins later Eastwood lined up one of the saints forwards with a response. I don't know who he got but I don't think he finished the match. Saw that BN ...Classic. They look like the fg side. Need to find more attack and finishing of backline plays. Too forward orientated but you can get away with that in ISP I guess. In past games that I have seen, I thought the opposite. I thought they played with better depth than our first grade team and forwards looked like they hit the line with a view to offload in tackles which creates doubt in the defence. But last night i saw bad first grade habits from the Des era come into the team. I saw the team waste 3 tackles inside the 15m with Tolman settlers. It was abit of an abortion. One of the most pleasing aspects of the last 8 games of first grade was the fact we broke away from the Des shackles. But it seems there are still elements of it that surface every now and then, usually when we are down on scoreboard or when we are forced to reshuffle players. I'm hoping by mid next year we rid ourselves entirely of it. Losing some players will definitely help.

+xThe good thing about Rugby League is that our Mad Monday debacle has already been forgotten and another atrocity has taken it's place ……..just the nature of the game . It never really seems to damage the code either . The non stop scandals just fuel the inferno that is RL . A brutal beautiful game ! Lobe the word atrocity being bandied around by the media... They'll have to invent a new word if something actually horrible happens...

R Martins goal kicking is phenomenal.... it really is!
But there’s a couple of other facets of his game that is sub standard
With CHN coming into the squad next year... surely as a starter + RFM back on the edges too , I can’t see a spot for Rhyse Martin in the 17 at all as I’m sure Elliot will drop back to the bench
Holland/Smith combo worked well... Holland will surely get the goal kicking duties

Where has the Cronulla salary cap investigation gone? We were led to believe that there was a problem in 2015 & 2017, miraculously leapfrogging the premiership year, and not applying this year when they are still alive. All very convenient.

First they pulled a sacrificial dog and then they pulled a rabbit out of the hat and made it all go away.

i feel sad for seeing for the last time this weekend after the bulldogs isp cup side vs newtown jets in the grandfinal seeing players like zac woolford , josh cleeland , francis toula all go as the club wont re sign theses 3 all are free off contracted agents , on matt frawly he has played his last game & is out due to a fractured foot looking ahead for 2019 id say @ this stage hopoate & c haeirea nieara will be our new centers with nick meany beaning 1st choice @ no 1 if he can prove himself there again massive step up for him

Here we are losing a genuine centre and wing combo that played club, soo and Tests and instead of replacing the centre with another, we get a guy who is a second rower. I know you'll say he can cover centre (jacko does that too as did SBW) but let's face it....with our salary cap problems and abundance of 2nd rowers, we really needed an actual centre, not a guy who can fill in. Id rather Holland there. Martin is a starter and goalkicker in my opinion. The hyphenated players can fight for the other back row spot with one on the bench.

Marki he is absolute 110% legit quality who many good judges think even bigger things are in front of him. He's been signed for four years at 23 so he's seen as long term and I'd say hoped by management that he ends up playing his career out with us.
He wasn't signed to fill a hole next year, he was signed because he's quality and we want a career out of him.

Hopefully not...a classic case of a player unable to consistently play NRL. Meaney looks more of a show though Hoppa's ability to call defensive plays at fullback may mean he starts there in 2019. There was a game in ISP in recent times in which Jayden Okunder took an intercept and really strode out and he looked great. HAs a physique to play and intimidate but defence from what I have seen is pretty rank but also had never seen him run las when he was scoring that try.

Has anyone watched the second season of "Ozark" on Netflix?. Awesome...best ever show about a mild mannered accountant laundering money for a Mexican drug cartel. Justin Bateman is great but Laura Linney even better. A young redneck gal, Ruth, may be the real star. I reckon she has mined Dolly Parton's accent to the letter. Truly I would rate this as "Breaking Bad" good.

I recontacted my phone plan got a lot more data for less money and the threw in Optus Sport for free I now have the EPL, even better, West Ham actually won a game. So I have some off season options .. but bring on 2019.. and Go {anyone playing the Chooks}

For mine season 2 was better than season 1 and best thing is all ten episodes are available at once.

Have the NRL or our illustrious leader made comment on the South's thing?... Easy out for them is to say Dogs happened at club event, South's players were not.... Still wanna know why nothing in Merrins antics???... From the images, it looked like it was a club commitment, ie the workplace... His actions celebrated!?!?!....
