+x+xYoung socceroos 2 Sydney United 0 in a friendly today. Anyone happen to go? I was at this game JDB03, it was 4-0. YS dominated as to be expected. Apparently the boys were told when they got to the camp by Milicic that they have already selected 10 boys from overseas clubs. So Im guessing the remainder of the spots will be filled with the boys who went to the SBS cup in Japan. I dont think you will see to many of the boys that were at the Japan cup as they were all 2000/01 born. This squad will be made up with 99 the odd 2000/01. BTW how did the boys play? 4-0 thats a good result.

+xArzani wont play U20's, hes a socceroo, so you can take him out. I think they will try and get him as we do need the best players available.

I agree they will try and get him and I hope they do, but can you really see Arzani wanting to drop back and play with the u20's? Hopefully Im wrong as he would be a major asset to the team. Personally I cant see it happening. Just my opinion, hopefully wrong.

In saying this he is also not getting any game time in the celtic senior team atm.

I'd also add as possibilities (all born 99 or later) GK: Maynard-Brewer - Charlton DF: Reagan Ogle - Accrington MF: Blumberg - Charlton FW: Ben Folami

Folami already in camp. Ogle is not going to get in over Cordier or Scott I don't think. Same for Blumberg. Can't see him pushing out Ryan, Young or potentially ouzonidis from Everton youth. Also have Reardon from the roar and Mourdakoutas from the wanderers as cb options.

In the last selection by Milicic, 6 wanderers were selected with Grozos, Robert's, Pagden, Adam, Silvera all selected. Grozos didn't make it because of the shoulder injury he picked up in the FFA CupRl R32 game. Hardly a mention on here.

Yeah. Those Koreans and Japanese are still a step above.

Didn't even realise that Iraq were the reigning champs. Different group of players but still, getting out of this group could be even more tricky than I initially anticipated.

Thank goodness youth results don't really matter.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=atL_UNWVZecStill not sure why he went the the traditional big, strong slow CBs. Complete change from qualification.

from those highlights, to me i agree mobility and conditioning were the biggest concerning factor. conversely, according to some tweets, we matched them technically, but still, apparently it could've been 6-0 or more bar some poor finishing from the South Koreans.

Matched them in midfield. Only got a few chances in the front third. Backline was way too slow and it cost us.
