+x+x+x+x+xSam Kasiano is nowhere to be seen. Even the great Bellamy couldn't fix this giant. Maybe Des was right about something. Sam is playing for Storm's Qld ISP feeder club Essts Tigers in the GF today. He has made a mockery of the thought that forwards win matches. They don't. Smart players do. Forwards are nothing but pawns in a chess game. And that's ruuuuuuuuuuuubish too. Every successful Storm season they've had one of, if not the, best packs in the game and it's the same this year - that bench! Forwards win the metres, backs win the game. Neither can get the 2 points without the other. One must only look at Bellamy's SOO record. Had one of the best packs yet after many attempts couldnt win a series. I bet if you asked him why, he'd say: (a) we didnt have Smith, Slater and Cronk.......or (b) the opposition had Smith, Slater and Cronk He wouldnt even know who the forwards are. Oh sure Marki, a three game series matters to a career NRL coach with the best record in the game. Will you just take a deep breath and read what you're saying - forwards don't matter? Why don't you ask Cronk, Smith and Slater and while you're at it Thurston, Lamb Mortimer and anyone else you think win games on their own if they think forwards matter. None of them, not one single one of them, can do anything but beat time without metres, and I don't know who you think gives them that - The Metre Fairy?

+x+xIt appears that the biggest debate at the moment is whether slater will play next week or will he attend as a spectator. I believe that to be consistant the NRL have to suspend him just the same as they have suspended players previously for similar offences. The four things obstructing his suspension are: 1. Slater is a protected species.2. It is the Grand Final.3. It is slater's final game.4. Sheer weight of pressure from Melbourne storm fans. Then again, since when has the NRL ever been consistant? Look I hate the shoulder charge rule. I think it has ruined the game. The shoulder charge rule was brought in because doctors were seeing injuries from shoulder charges and told The NRL someone would get killed and then promptly someone did get killed in QLD and don't forget Frawley was put out for a season by one. So put the macho away, it can kill and has killed and so had to be banned, absolutely MUST have been banned. It's not like the 70's where you had some soft fat f*** lumbering one on from 5m, in the modern game you have fit hard b.stards putting one on from 10m on the fly. But having said all that, it was not designed to combat the likes of the Slater tackle, which on first viewing I didn't think was a shoulder charge at all and I'm still not convinced it was anything more than a collision of circumstance. Shoulder charges have intent, Slater's did not.

The worst thing about the coming week will be the garbage newspapers saying "let's all get behind the Sydney team"

Many people I have spoken to, agree with me. If you ask most doctors, they will tell you clapping your hands kills cells too. So lets just ban clapping while we are it.

Well that is a certainty....the player to rise to the greatest heights after leaving the Dogs had about a 1 out of 10 game tonight....Did Des make an honorary guest appearance at Souths training?

I have watched the replay and it unfortunately didn't have a front on shot, but slater did hit with force and did use the upper part of the arm to hit Feki. At no time did he attempt to tackle the player with the hands or forearms which constitutes a bona fide shoulder charge. I believe if they let slater off, it will undo all their efforts to eliminate this type of play and make a mockery of their own rules. Having said that, after watching the chooks/rabbits game tonight, even without slater, the storm will be hard to stop. I doubt the return of mitchell will lift the chooks performance enough to roll them.

latrell mitchel & dylan napa should be free 2 play the storm with there suspensions boy these 2 alone should lift the roosters as i still say latrell mitchel is the best centre in the modern game on form BUT pending if cooper cronk shoulder will allow him 2 play & if jake friend is going 2 on that uguly tackle he did

I watched that cold the other day, without knowing anything about it except someone on Twitter posted it with the word "Wow!" The effect when you don't see it coming is.... wow! Was sort of like how I first seen Alien. Sure everybody knows about it now and even if you were to watch it for the first time over the last couple of decades you'd know something about it. But imagine what it was like if you go the cinema in.... 1979 or whatever it was to see another movie but miss the session and so just pick another random movie to watch and the one you pick you know absolutely nothing about except the name which you've just seen on the poster for the very first time... and that movie is Alien. Wow! ... though to 15 year old me it was more like "F*** me dead!"

Christine and Frances Abbott with the Gay Marriage thing...nah not as daming. Malcolm Turnbull's son in law dissing the Liberal over the Labor guy? Peter Costello's bro critisizing up his Govt's welfare policies? Can't think of any others. But that one takes the cake...utter take down by ALL your siblings....wow just wow alright.

Not worth charging Feki so let's just leave it at that.

Really don't think there's much doubt who the Rorters hater is in that Roosters suit. Steve do you have an alibi? :) https://www.foxsports.com.au/video/league/nrl/cronk-whacked-by-the-mascot!699894

Alien is genre defining, all of the genre since and indeed all before are measured against it. And pioneering even outside the genre, many... pleeeeeeenty.... of established "norms" of modern films are traced back to Alien. There was no so such thing as a female movie hero before Alien being just one and perhaps the most obvious example, though by no means the only. You'd hate it.

Newtown up 10-6 at Halftime
The Dogs looks ordinary in attack so far.
Sharks got a held up try given, we got one back just on halftime too
That Sione Katoa is a good player for them

Just gotta post something, cause its important to talk.. I've been wrestling with it for some time now and just need to let it out.... My mum is retiring from tennis... The 68 year old A grade player making the announcement to shocked team mates at a closed practice session on Friday... Not since Hanna mandlikova left a gaping hole in Australian tennis have we seen such an unexpected announcement... Tributes continue to flow from tennis heavy weights including Serena, both martinas, and even Ivan lendl with a rare post on social media... John Alexander saying "Brucw would say 'Steffi' was special"... With Pat rafter adding " sorry mate"... Rumours persist of a possible farewell tour beginning with partnering Australian Davis cup captain lleyton Hewitt at the upcoming hopman cup on Perth... #wta... #tennis... #howmanysetsmum?... #madmumday...
