Interesting seeing 8 bottom agers in this squad.
If we make the WC, would you change some of the defenders? Warland and Robertson would be nice additions.

Let’s qualify first, everything else is secondary at this stage.

Any idea when the U19 AFC cup squad should be announced? Will be a very interesting one.

Just looking at some of the boys overseas that havent really been mentioned (as far as I can see) who would be eligible for the U19's....... Jamie Percevski a 2000 born CB, signed from WSW to Dusseldorf U19's; Julian Schwarzer a 99 born GK with Pipinsreid Germany (Mark Schwarzers son) Luca De Silva a 2000 born Left Winger with Jong Willem II Antonis Martis 2000 born CM with FC Midtjylland Leo Mazis 2000 born MF with Celtic Reserves
Others that have been mentioned..... Dylan Ryan 2000 born, CB with Willem II Tilburg Ashley Maynard-Brewer 99 born GK with Charlton Athletic Ryan Blumberg 99 born CB with Charlton Athletic U23's Liam Driscoll, 99 born GK with Reading FC U23's
I think from the overseas boys, we will definitely see Pasquali, Theoharous, Folami and Iredale in the squad. As for the other apparent 6 from overseas it could be anyone's guess. I still don't think Arzani or Genreau will be in the team (hopefully I am wrong)
Then we have all the boys here in Oz....
Tokich Roberts Grozos Russell Suman Puflett Monge Adam Cordier Thurgate Kekeris King Delianov Najjarine Atkinson Najjar Metcalfe Pierias Cavallo Sette Kirdar Stamatelopolos Brook Richards D'Arrigo Italiano Scott Reardon Akbari Trewin
So we have an apparent 10 boys already selected from overseas clubs, then we have all the rest who will travel, but may not even get to see an playing time. So, yes it will definitely be an interesting list

This list is from the last qualifiers. But you would think it would be close to the same.

The first link is not the team that is currently in camp. Yes, that was the team from the previous tournament.
The second link shows you who came into camp recently. As people have stated, 10 overseas players are expected to push a lot of the kids out. Which 10 is anyone's guess. Hopefully all the big guns.

What do you mean by big guns? Some of those overseas players couldn't get a game in a league and are playing reserve, 23's, 19's, and some in lower leagues. Just because they are overseas doesn't make them a big gun. This age group has a serious habit of playing frauds who never become pro footballers. Don't believe me? Checkout the squads for the last 6 campaigns. Some names there that are forgotten and irrelevant. I wish them luck but history is bound to repeat itself.

Brimmer as an example when he was at Liverpool was very good for us at the AFC U16 and the WC U17. But he had a two year period where no progression was really made apart from a few 10 minute cameo's in the Liverpool U23's. He was tipped to be huge and I still think he will be via the A-League, but our overseas guys get way too hyped up. once again I hope they prove us wrong!!!

That he's now being chased by multiple nations. This thread is about Aussie juniors...

10 overseas based players in a Junior Squad is basically unprecedented and looking at some of those Club names probably unwarranted...

Assuming the overseas list might be Arzani, Mazis, Genreau, Pasquali, Theoharous, Dylan Ryan, Folami, John Iredale, the greek origin lad from everton? Unless im missing someone else.
Possible 11 if Arzani is selected or not.
Delaniov
Atkinson Readon Dylan Ryan Pierias Pasquali Mazis Genreau Folami Iredale Arzani or Theoharous

Looks like someone filled the list for the U19 Championship squad: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_AFC_U-19_Championship_squads#_AustraliaHave they jumped the gun? Nothing on the official site. I'm hoping Genreau is left in Holland as he is getting senior minutes now, as is Pasquali who was left out according to this, and the opposite of Arzani and Theoharous, glad they're called up.

It's not the squad, that's from the qualification tournament. You think that Iraq is going to bring a whole side of bottom agers....
