Slink was right a couple of weeks back - The Republicans DID get smashed, it just took a while to see just how apparent it was.
Pop vote:
Dems: 59350m - 53.5% Reps: 50400m - 46.5%
Biggest mid-term election winning margin in the history of mid-term elections.
So how come they haven't got 53.5% of the House and Senate?
Well, the Senate's just a farce with each State getting two Senators, California and bumf*** Wyoming getting the same despite Californioa having 100x the population of Bumf***.
The House, the gerry-manding is outright criminal. Governers set the boundaries and Reps having had a hold on Governerships for a while have certainly gerry-mandered it shamelessly.
Example - Wisconsin:
Pop Vote - Dems 54% Reps 46% Seats won - Dems 36% Reps 64%
Lauuuuughable democracy.

Read the article....I'm assuming it's the one regarding our open training session? Hardly anything in it. He gave 3 possible reasons for the low turnout, 2 of which I agree with. If anything, probably failed to mention it was a work day and probably at a venue not previously used. He then took a usual pot shot at the club on their stance regarding media.... he's not the first. All reporters dislike our club for it. Nothing new. Wielder is scum, but on that article he is nowhere near Des in attempts to destroy our club......

He is a simple mind who belives everything Mundine and Politis tell him. Also bashing the Dogs plays well in the media and rates well, mainly becuase Dogs fans are not smart enough to ignore him. His continued employment is one of the few black marks against Fairfax, who are still way better than Newscorp when it comes to factual and balanced reporting. With the Weasel being the total exception. I usually ignore his crap or get a laugh out of it. Anyone with an IQ higher than 10 quickly understands it is a biased fact free zone.

Then I'd at least say he was a cunning bastard with a strong motive... No Him being completely unaware and naive of his failings makes it all the more stupid and I detest him and the people around him for that. He has history too.....

He was trying, and essentially tried to use the formula he had at Manly, at the Dogs, but unfortunately that was Plans A-Z. We it didn't work, there was no other option. He might do better at Manly with a better squad a fresh start and some reflection, not that I care. At the Dogs we are well advised to forget the past and work on the future.

This is the answer to the question Dman asked about whether the NRL management had achieved anything:- https://www.bulldogs.com.au/news/2018/11/26/accreditation-scheme-to-make-agents-accountable/I have no doubt that they inherited a mess and are slowly turning things around through gradual change. The question isn't whether things are perfect, it is whether they are improving. It is important to establish the principle that the NRL accredits Player Managers, and sets the rules. This change along with publishing the 30 man and the concept of development players, are improvements. There are lots of small details to get right, and you make more progress via small incremental improvement. Similarly with the refs and the Bunker, try to make it work before throwing it out. I don't expect the Dogs to get any favours from NRL management, so I am never disappointed. Management could be better, but for most of the last 50 years, it has been much worse. Sporting admin in Australia, a lot of our business and political leadership is ordinary at best, if I am honest, it is a wonder the country isn't a bigger mess. The cherry on the cake was ASIC paying themselves bonuses for failing to do their job. At least the bank managers got bonuses for doing their job, which was rorting the customer.

About time they did this. Good on 'em. Time for these guys to be held accountable
