+xHow do you stop a good playmaker...... you don't let him have the ball. Block all channels, be alert and know where he is at all times, children ncentrare on this for 90 mins. If he gets the ball he is pressured immediately. Yes a man marker but it's everyone's responsibility to block the service at all times. And yes it's 11v 11 but you must disrupt the cleverest playmaker. Well was gets his wish. Hingert out for Dane and Tobi out for Mauk. We are playing without a designated lw. Probably McKay playing out there you would think

So the question is, how much longer does Aloisi have? Obviously its a two for one, his brother goes out the door with him.

The Holman situation he's been out all preseason is case in point.i think he lost the team base on the defence. Now they blaming the ref for the loss. Vic was all over us.

What a surprise. Aloisi blames the ref for the ill-discipline of HIS team. What’s the ref supposed to do John? Just let Eric go crazy and unpunished? Aloisi has taken the Roar from a team that regularly won fair play awards to an ill-disciplined rabble. And John, how about telling us fans what you thought we’d get out of the game in the second half by not having a single shot at goal? Clearly playing to save his skin rather than trying for a result. Yeah it’s fine to park the bus for much of the half, but at some point you have to realise that losing 6-2 is no different to 4-2 and so you have a go.

Has an excuse for everything, I can give him some slack tonight though as they did look good in the first 5 mins and Eric did stuff over the team but the writing has been on the wall for a while now for Aloisi. 3rd season, no off season drama, new players etc etc Everything is fine, we are going to go on a good run soon apparently. 3 away games coming up..............

Holman = 2 knee operations. Doubt he’ll play again.
Total cock-up signing him.

Holmans been in and out of injury since he came here, and did show some promise but just gets injured too often.
At some stage you got to say we'll get someone else and let him go.
Eric does get targeted but he just lost it tonight and that's where the coach has to calm his players down. You mite be seething on the inside too but you must display discipline to your team. Sure have a go at the ref but maintain composure.
Played and coached a lot of senior football and a team generally reflects the coach's demeanour.
If you lose it your players will too and Ross loses it too often.
He makes the whole club look like tossers.
Ross must go. If not both gotta go.

Disappointing to see Devere go but tbh he has been out a lot with injury.
We've got to sign a quality defender and then maybe a gun midfielder or striker.
Put that cash into one or two players tops.
We have enough 2nd stringers, we need top quality only or nothing.

As much as two quality signings would help I don’t think anything will help as much as a change in coaching

It's pretty much why he'll never be a decent coach, he always blames something or someone for a loss. I remember back in the heart days when I think they went 20 odd games without a win, every week they were the better team, had the better chances and deserved to win. He's never going to learn from losses or how to improve with that attitude.

TK seems so slow when trying to get back after losing possession. Has he always been that slow or is he carrying an injury?
The two nutmegs on Ingham that lead to goals also sums up the current Roar.
There was a time when many of the Roar players were vying for National team selection. I’m hard pressed to think of even 1 (maybe Taggerty.) that would be allowed to clean the boots of any current Socceroo.
As far as JA goes, I can’t flog that dead horse anymore. Thanks for your efforts John and best of luck with your next gig. I really had hoped it worked out for him (I like the guy).

Waz, I read your post before the game what you were looking for in the match and pretty much got it ie no Hingert, Mikklessen etc and I agree with you however it shows no matter how well the planets align if the coaching is shit it all falls apart. John Aloisi and his hot head brother are an embarrassment.

Yeah, got some of what I hoped for:
“1. Some usual names to be droppped from the squad entirely for under performing ... not picking on anyone but Hingert, Mikkelsen even TK are candidates.”
>>> yeah got that ✔️
“ 2. Ricky NOT to be starting but readied off the bench”.
>>> yeah got that although I thought he should have been the last sub not the first
“ 3. Some f’kin concentration in the first fifteen minutes and five minutes each side of half time”
>>>> epic fail in all counts.
“4. Some real fire in their bellies and taking the game to victory. I’ll take whatever result comes but I want to see some change !!”
>>> yes in the first half but epic fail in the second. That was the most pointless 45 minutes of football I’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately Waz’s wish for the first 15 mins and the 5mins before halftime didn’t quite come to fruition.

Well,For Brisbane under JA at least, preseason says everything about how the team will go. We started earlier than any other team ,had a lot of draws and struggled to win any games. Apart from the opening rounds where our 'obvious superior fitness ',got us some draws we have now regressed to a rabble.A rabble that shows brilliant playing spasms, but melts like butter in the sun as soon as the opponent appiles heat.
This was once a proud club, with a winning ,attacking culture ,that was feared by ther teams. Now the only fear is getting a broken leg. Thanks JA.for dismantling everything.
The sad reality is once this fraud eventually leaves,we will have to start from scratch.Which means more years of pain as we rebuild at the same time new expansion teams pumped with cash suck up all the best local talent.
Legacy? None. There's no youth coming through.Nothing When the older players retire, there will be nothing. I have more faith that CCM will dig themselves out of the hole they are in before JA does .
We will have to rise from the ashes once JA is gone.
We are RoarNix.

Hingert, Micklessen, Mauk, Nicklesen have to go to build a more mobile and faster team. Eric will go and Matty will retire. Lopez is good but dragging the chain with his lack of fitness. It will be one hell of a rebuild.
