Aus have enough now - if Aus lose this game - the bowlers failed...
The batsmen have done their job...

+xHazlewood finding the gap like a skilled batsman to get four. He and Starc have added almost 30 valuable runs.

280 in front, but the pessemist in me thinks if our last two batsmen can smack them around like this, they can do the same to us.

285 probably takes about 120 overs to get so oz will get a very poor pitch to bowl on and 2 new balls you would think

+x+xHazlewood finding the gap like a skilled batsman to get four. He and Starc have added almost 30 valuable runs. all over red rover now. 286 lead. Up to our quality pace cartel and Lyon to equal the series. Shami was the star with 6/56. Fourth best figures by an Indian bowler in Australia. How vital will that 40odd first innings lead turn out to be.

+xAus have enough now - if Aus lose this game - the bowlers failed... The batsmen have done their job... I think Australia have enough but Australia has noone in the side near the quality of Pujara let alone Kohli. If Australia loses because they let Rahul and Vijay put on a 100 opening partnership and one of the gets a century I would agree that the bowlers have failed. If Australia lose because one of the Kohli or Pujara gets a century and other makes a large contribution it might be they are just too good. Vihari is the wildcard for me, he looked very good but only got 20. I think he could be a long term quality batsman for India and he could play an innings here.

They're score much more swifter than the batsman's effort in the same match... They have poorly appreciated significant effect... That 36 run 10w partnership was huuuuuuge...

+x+xHazlewood finding the gap like a skilled batsman to get four. He and Starc have added almost 30 valuable runs. Very valuable runs, runs the Indian tail have no chance of matching. Kohli and Pujara have to find those runs. I don't think India will win, but they have a small chance because of Pujara and Kohli.

Good ball from Starc, Rahul played it horrifically and is out. He needs to be dropped but so Vijay.

One down one to go. Very difficult for India now. Kohli needs to make more than the first innings.

Nice edge off Pujara to Paine from Hazlewood.
If we dismiss Kohli soon we have a good chance of winning!

The other side of it is who is going to stay with Kohli. Vijay will not. Rahane may but I doubt he will do it two innings in a row. Vihari looks to be quality but a huge task for a player in his second test no matter what quality he might have Pant may for a while but I do not see him getting more than 30 or 40.

Kohli is the last threat, if we can get him out before he reaches 50-60 we've got this.

Marcus Harris is the best opener in this match, he is a better batsman than Vijay and especially Rahul. India need to find a partner for Shaw because it is not either of these two. Paddles who is the next best Indian opener?

pitch will only get worse and india have to bat at least 100 more overs as it cracks and breaks up
india out for less than 180 imo

Cummins seems to be bowling more balls over 140kph.

With Cummins’ follow through, his line is pretty good for sustained periods.

That last steepling bouncer from Cummins at 143 kph, off quite a good length is what we haven’t seen enough of.
Kohli was very uncomfortable.

Kohli and Vijay are scoring much faster than our specialist batters ATM.

They might get another 100 or so, but there is no way to victory for the Indians.
