You are finally right in that system is designed to save his arse.
You are also right in that he has acted like this all his life (and gotten away with it) and so he finds it hard to change his ways.
Makes him out to be the fool, but in the end he is still the best president USA has had in a while - which the average US resident just doesn't understand.
They're hatred towards him blinds their ability to judge him on performance.

If he doesn't up the run rate or enforce the follow on he should be sacked...

Trump would love nothing more than the US public to enforce a follow-on.
But if they don't, their run rate will drop and they will ultimately lose.....

a short term sugar hit via unsustainable and reckless spending policies

Which is nothing but a bribe just to get him to 2020.

The debt has gone up under him the most since Obama had to flood the market in '07 - but Obama had to do that because of a little thing called The Global Financial Crisis.

Trump has to do it because of a little thing called incompetence. It's how he's run every one of his failed business's - borrow the money, spend the money, don't pay it back. The moron has even asked within his office why they just can't tell China they're not paying. He complains about the Fed Reserve is raising interest rates, which they have to do to cool down the economy, he just wants them to print more money. He's asked why they can't just print more money.

And NONE of what I say above is bullsh.t - it comes from within his own office. He really believes it.

NRL rule changes a step in the right direction... Big question is how many weeks will they enforce them...
Changes are typically reactive, and majority of them designed to fix their original stuff ups...
I still think they've missed a trick with 5 minute sin bins for repeated infringements inside the 20...
Would love to see teams like the roosters playing with for eg. 11 for 4.5 minutes, or 10 for 3 minutes....

Marking did you enjoy the cricket last night? T20 seems about the right pace for you.

Like I said, its better than the bachelor, but I've got no emotional investment in any if the teams, so hard to get excited. And as a purist the quality of cricket doesn't excite me, tbh I'd rather watch first grade at Glen McGrath oval...

No change re numbers of interchange... Probably fair at the moment, they need to give clubs a heap of notice for this as it may have a significant impact on clubs rosters. They need to make a decision early this season and notify clubs it will change for the 2021 season.

Great news that snuck up on me - HBO is doing a Deadwood movie for release next year, and it could be just the first. All the favourites are there - Sheriff Bulloock (now U.S Marshall Bullock) Big Al SwearAgain... and again, Trixie, Sol, Charlie Utter, Doc, Farnum and everyone's favourite Calamity Jane. Looks like it's set about 10 years or so after the series, which ties in well because the cast has aged 10 years.

Before Breaking Bad, before GoT - this was THE breakthrough in television entertainment. And I reckon it could've been the best of the lot of them if it would've done more than 3 seasons and didn't leave so much plot up in the air and stories half told. It was the money that killed it, very expensive sets.

But rejoice c*ck-suckers, they're back!

Penalties and/or sinbins for "repeated" infringements are a worry for one main reason, it leaves it up to the ref to make up the rules as they go along.
Something that wasn't a penalty one minute can suddenly be a penalty the next minute because a ref suddenly has a mood swing or whatever & decides the result of a match or a teams season on a whim.
I'll always prefer it if something is a penalty or it isn't, along with the consistency that provides. Don't get me wrong, if there's a penalty inside the 20, send them all off for 5 or 10mins, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that. No warnings, just the rules enforced for 80mins. A penalty or sinbin is the warning. None of the "you have to break the rules several times" before it's a penalty kind of madness the inconsistent mob are rife with.

No need to stop or slow the play.  The ref can simply call advantage and restart the tackle count with play continuing.  May happen more than once.  At changeover go back to the initial infringement and award penalty.  At this point any further action can be taken against repeat offenders. The motivation to infringe is reduced.

Hmm...advantage for the rest of the set...then call it back for a penalty. Not a bad idea & that would work in many situations as long as they're consistent with it.
Trouble is, they'll go with whatever is the most inconsistent method by contradicting the existing rules, not enforcing the rules for 80mins etc.

I like this idea...

The one glaring flaw is "repeat" offenders. Either a player offends or doesn't offend. Either there's a rule or there isn't.
There's no rule to say a player must offend 3 times or 5 times before it's a penalty. Which is then interpreted differently by one ref & the next ref, then differently in the 2nd half compared to the first half & so on.
I like the post by suncoast but would like it more if the word "repeat" wasn't there, but that's just me, striving for consistency in the game, doing the NRL's work for them day after day...

Steve, on your suggestion, I gave Ozark a go. I didn't mind it. They did quite well & kept it interesting enough to keep watching.
They confirmed they'll be making a 3rd series.
There'll also be a 3rd series of Get Shorty, worth a look if anyone hasn't seen it.
It sounds like Saul will get another series next year too..

They have some good series on Netflix and that is one...glad you liked it. It was better than season 1. I like the fact you can access entire series in one hit and being fairly short they can keep the action going. How good was Ruthie! And like all good series there is an annoying character....in this case Marty's daughter.
Bodyguard also a must see and Bad Blood is  good if you like Mafia stories

So I just caught one of those black stupid looking pommy taxi things from the airport...
Asked the driver as we took off "is that the right tariff"...
" Yes yes, day tariff" came the reply..
Halfway home again I asked "sure its right, it normally only costs this much to get home; I catch a lot of taxis"...
" Yes, yes, it must be the  traffic" he assured me...
Over $80 on arrival prompted me "so tariff 4 is correct, because I think it's way over, and I will be following it up"...
Immediately he said" you trying to cause me trouble, my finger must have slipped, OK I'll make it $60...
"No way mate charge me the $80 and I'll follow it up, if it was an honest mistake you can explain you realised the mistake and did the right thing"...
Mexican stand off a few more words, took his cab number...
He refused to charge $80... So I paid $60... I reckon its a regular con for the unwitting, and tourists...
Do I follow up or give him the benefit of the doubt?...

I agree, the Ruth character did wonders for the series. I think it's because they found such a unique young actress for the part & she did a brilliant job.
Can you imagine how many must have tried out for the part...it would've been a different show altogether with anyone else.
Marty's daughter didn't bother me much, especially compared to a few of the others & oddly enough whenever she was on I kept wondering if she (the actress) was native American Indian or at least part of from one parent or something like that.

I'll try to check out Bodyguard & Bad Blood as well later.
I heard Peaky Blinders is a good one from the UK, set in 1919, done from the mobs perspective.
