@Crimson. The only way that it can remotely make sense - even in the small minds of the FFA - is if they already know who the next coach is and which players she’ll keep. Rae Dower come on down.

Only a week to go till they announce the new coach according to Gallop, so we’ll soon see the interview on how the coach is going to fix the mystery toxic environment.

So FFA can find an appoint a national coach within the next week and Brisbane who lost their coach some time ago, probably wont appoint a new coach until the end of the season.
Maybe Roar need a toxic culture audit and a cricket admin person to speed up the process?
Or FFA are being hasty?
Or.....

Predicted to replace Stajcic back on 4 January by ‘people in the know’.

It's funny how the narrative has shifted from "toxic culture" to "he wasn't a good coach and our recent results were poor". Talk about trying to cobble together a case after the fact...

Do FFA have toxic culture as the first thing they look at when assessing whether a coach renews his contract?Do FFA even have toxic culture issues as a major factor when hiring coaches? If FFA are setting a precedent of sacking a succesful coach ,because toxic culture is now the most important issue when assessing performance of a coach, then when is an internal audit of all coaches being performed? ... Where are the guidelines for stepping through the toxic culture/ winning culture divide? How often will audits be taken to assess toxicity? How many unhappy players constitute toxicity?...  If anyone thinks this is approaching lunacy, lets wait until tin foil hats become standard issue.

In Australia in the year 2019, it is impossible to define what is a "toxic culture".

I'll use an example.

For many centuries in our Australian and Commonwealth culture, a person with male genitalia does not use the same open toilet at the same time as a person with female genitalia. It would have been considered a toxic environment for this practice to be forced on the population.

However, under the present Daniel Andrews Victorian Government's "Safe Schools" programme, it would be a basis for people to say it was a toxic environment if a person in authority were to object to that happening.

Given such opposite world views, it is impossible for a consensus to be reached about whether or not there was a toxic environment in the Matildas without upsetting people who hold the opposite world view.

In such circumstances, it would be expedient for FFA to just to sack the guy, and not give reasons, citing confidentiality as the reason.

This present circumstance with Alen Stajcic is made more complex because it depends entirely whether you agree with the world view of the FFA board, and the "Our Watch" consultants they selected to assess the culture of the Matildas.

If the real reasons for the Stajcic sacking were given, it would enrage half the population, and be cheered by the other half of the population.

For these reasons, it is unlikely that FFA will ever be upfront with the details of why they sacked Stajcic. We will never know.

That is why if people like Fozzie or Lucy were to side with Stajcic on the basis of common justice, their careers would be torn to shreds.

Even if Stajcic takes FFA to court, the fact is, among the Australian judiciary, there are judges who support both sides of the spectrum.

So it seems Stajcic's best option was to take the big $ payout, and let his coaching record and the outrage of public opinion be his personal justification.

I am sad for Alen that he missed out on coaching the Matildas at a World Cup. He deserved it. Sad thing is, we had at least a chance of winning the World Cup. No way it will happen now.

Journo Kelli Underwood has reported that some Matilda’s players have admitted to responding to ‘the survey’ in jest.
The ‘jestful’ survey was then used to to trash Stajcic’s career.
Board needs to resign en masse. Now.

The toxic culture is entrenched at the FFA.
The toxic culture is there because Gallop cannot tolerate people who say no to him.

I call for a survey to be put out to the so-called football family asking what we want a CEO to do and what culture the office of CEO needs to instill.

If Nikki thinks Gallop is his man, he's got another thing coming.

Yup. This has gone out of hand. Those people targeting players are crossing a line. So when will Gallop be held responsible for this gross mishandling?

Of course not. Doesn't give Stajcic supporters license to do the same or worse.

Again, Gallop created this entire shit storm and he better be held accountable to it.

Never said it did. I just find it interesting when you look at what people like Tony Abbott and his family have put up with for years; yet for some, the cops are called in at the first sign of abuse.
Agree with you, that the FFA is responsible - in an information vacuum people draw their own conclusions, correct or otherwise.

I just think its absolutely stupid for someone to harass the players. How can that help in the lead up to the WC?

Also madness that the FFA believe this will just die down. When they select the new Coach, this will create another wave, when the squad is selected, the Cup of Nations tournament, etc etc.
