+xMcDonald scored on debut after coming on in the 65th minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eY-_6ybY60Somewhat offtopic but this level of coverage with just the one camera at daytime rather than a gold plated full broadcast service is exactly what I believe we can see for a second division in our own country. Only realised he'd come out of retirement when I saw that video this morning. I know he's 35 but what's the chances Western United have offered him a deal for next season and he's taken this offer to get himself in shape.

It's a big shame that Team 11 didn't get up because he's from down that way and supported the bid. It'll be too late for him by the time they do get in, if they do, unfortunately.

+xLooks like Genreau isnt getting any more game time, JVS leaving has been the worst thing for him. Hrustic isnt anymore promising with game time. Lucky it's a loan and he goes back to Melbourne City, with a lot more experience.

Hrustic isnt anymore promising with game time. I hate when this happens. Seriously are managers psychopaths or what? They're so protective of their own recruitment, heaven forbid working with a currently rostered player. Thought he was doing well over there.

But he looked crap when i watched him early in the season and was regularly pulled because of it.

Genreau unfortunately didn't reach the heights in proper games compared to the pre season practice. Nevertheless Zwolle were poor all round.
Goodwin mentioned that Advocaat came in and basically banned him from match time as he wanted his players. Fair enough on the one hand but I find it hard how coaches come in and write off so many so quickly. It often comes back to bite them. If the player is causing issues in the squad then by all means remove him. It shouldn't be done so quickly for someone who has been performing OK in a bad side.

Zac Anderson starting for Perak against Ulsan.
Mehmet Durakovic is their manager and they also have Brendan Gan (now a Malaysian international) on their books.
Gan misses the squad altogether, yet started the last match. Maybe he's injured.

Jones starting. ACL playoff against Uzbek side AGMK. ... 4-0 win. He'll be in group A with Al-Wasl, Al-Zawraa (Iraq) and Zob Ahan Jurman in group B with Al-Wahda, Lokomotiv Tashkent and Al-Rayyan Degenek in group C with Al-Duhail, Al-Ain and Estaghlal
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

With Nabbout at Urawa in Group G, there would have been Aussies in every group bar Group D had Newcastle qualified. Still, I wonder if players in six groups is an AFC record? There's probably Brazilians in all eight groups lol

+xwe need these aussies playing in the a league not for other clubs in asia imo In terms of development for the players themselves, they are playing at better clubs in stronger leagues. What's annoying is when they leave midseason. Just another reason we need to align our season with Asia.

Antonis Martis played a full game as Midtjylland knocked out Roma of the Uefa Youth league on pens. Only game mention I can find is he got a yellow in the 77th minute.
He also went on their warm weather camp in Jan but that was a 32 man squad and I only think he got some token minutes when they had two very close games

Vukovic starting in EL. Was 0:0 in Prague so a draw will be enough for the Czech side tonight. Celtic are gone.

Genk up 1-0. Crazy error by the Slavia keeper. Not entirely sure what sparked this, but I like it https://twitter.com/a1_altamimi/status/1098675395761717248

Vuka taken out by his own defender. Stretchered off... looks bad.

Al Hilal fans already love big Milos also.
Yeah he made that shocking error in the Asian cup, but I still love the bloke too. We played so badly all tournament that we didn’t deserve to progress so i’m already at peace with his mistake. And his move to Al hilal haha.
