So because what seems to be a handful of players didn’t like his methods he’s out.
I will be the first to admit I don’t have much experience playing the game but surely every dressing room of 23 people has some who love the coach and some who don’t.
I’m still struggling to come to terms with this sacking. He’s been sacked because of a hidden agenda, it’s clear for the world to see.

The bloke turns us into a genuine world class football side and he’s sacked because players (who aren’t his favourites) don’t like him.

Way to back the manager FFA, such a fantastic organisation.

How bloody long have we been complaining about David gallop! Honestly!!

Disgraceful

No Josh you've got it wrong, it's the players that have made Staj so successful. Just ask Lynda.

Will be interesting to see whether the media give Milicic a soft ride at the press conference or get straight into asking:
"Are you concerned about the environment you are going into?"
"Do you know why your predecessor was sacked?"
"Do you know what you need to do to avoid being sacked?"
"How do you propose to fix the toxicity?"
etc etc etc

The cowards at FFA wont even be at the press conference. What a joke.
But some pertinent questions will identify if FFA has divulged to Milicic what problem there is and how to deal with it.
If FFA have given no guidance then they look guilty of lying or being responsible for putting an employee in a toxic environemnt.

Will Milicic say he is bound by confidentiality,so cant say anything?

https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/no-inquiry-into-stajcic-sacking-says-gallop
"Despite the worries about the team's culture, Milicic hasn't been made privy to the exact reasons for Stajcic's sacking which Gallop insists must remain confidential."

Can you imagine any other organisation, company etc that would employ a manager and say "There is a massive problem in your team environment - so massive that we had to sack the last guy - but we can't tell you what the problem is. You'll know it when you see it. Just make sure you fix it."

This is honestly the stuff of full on comedy - 'Yes Minister' and 'Utopia' probably passed on this as an episode because they thought it was too unbelievable.

Doesn’t say that they can’t tell Ante what the problem is. It says however he hasn’t been made privy of the exact reasons of the sacking which is different.

If other industries are to go by the focus under such circumstances involve discussions surrounding the problems and concerns first and foremost.

Problems and concerns can be explained without the need to provide details of an individuals sacking.

Indeed that’s how a professional employer deals with a new incoming employee as it should.

In which case, you'd think the FFA eould be able to explain these 'problems' to the public, eh.

Trying to have it not just both ways, but all ways.
"Everything is confidential so we can' tell anyone anything, oh, but we can tell the coach enough to fix the problem without breaking confidentiality, but we can't tell the public the same info because that would break confidentiality, but we definitely haven't told the coach anything about the sacking, but of course we are able to tell him whatever the previous coach said in private conversations, because we've already put that in the public domain."
Comedy gold! (Almost as funny as you implying that the term 'professional' is somehow related to the FFA).

Wrong @paulc. The national team is not a private company. It is part of the football community. They don't have an exclusive right not to explain his sacking.

Niko.
The same applies to public companies.
Again the public can be provided with more information of the problems for sure. Whilst linked, it is not the same as exposing all the details of Tajcics failures, personal shortfalls or a blow by blow account of his contribution to the toxic culture.

@paulc

Right now the public hasn't been given any information about why he has been sacked. It's all been hidden behind a veil of confidentiality. All we know is it's apparently bad or 'toxic'. Then there's your example of exposing the minute details of the truth behind which is on the other end of the spectrum. I don't think anyone is asking to know all those details you've mentioned.

So somewhere in between those two ends of the spectrum I'm sure you agree there is a middle ground which is would protect certain people, players etc. privacy whilst being transparent with the truth behind what the reason was behind his sacking.

You can't possibly disagree with that can you?

36 pages in and you haven't clicked that Lynda Taylor76 Twitter of 4-1-2019 was directed at Gorry?

There’s been plenty of hints on why he was sacked and even if there was more the FFA haters will keep knocking it back until it’s enough to form a linch mob. Make no mistake that’s the end game. So it’s a fruitless exercise.
What you say I generally agree with but reiterating that by articulating the problems and issues more is the best one can expect from an employer, public or otherwise.

There's been innuendo and rumours. Buzz words like toxic culture. There's also been rumours of player division, relationships and bed hopping. They carry as much weight as the ones that apparently put Stajcic in a bad light. So no it's not enough. FFA needs to make a statement giving transparent but thought out explanation on the reasoning behind the decision.

These claims of toxic culture is questionable particularly when you have half the coaching staff resigning in protest, 18 players expressing their public dismay, third parties connected to the Women’s game saying that there was no such behaviour from Stajcic and even articles from SMH over the 4-5 year period showing no such culture.

The FFA keep on saying the situation deteriorated quickly which warranted the action and everything was fine before, but that is inconsistent with one of the 3 anonymous whistleblowers.

Essentially, the position of the FFA is inconsistent from the outside looking in.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was player division and those that didn’t like Stajcic. But if that was it, to find for a toxic culture, then I question their decision.
