Over the years, we have rarely started a season well.

This year the big picture is we hope to finish 8-12, but realise we could finish 13-16, 

It was the loss a such more the manner of the loss, and the margin, but that happens in sport... confidence is a big thing, and you can't cop too many of that kind of loss without some loss of confidence.

Finishing in the 8-12 range needs a good result this week.

For those that dont know, SBW handed the Bulldogs their jerseys prior to the Warriors game in Auckland last week.

Maybe that's why we were put off and played poorly?

Look, I like and have always admired the skill and performance of the guy on the field, but right now, the last thing we need is another second rower....an aging veteran at that.

SBW was on his way to present the jerseys & Canterbury were expecting him, but it was on the way that SBW heard the shooting news. He had to stop & get his head around it, but said he was too upset & didn't end up going. It's understandable because it was such a terrible thing to happen. He never actually got there to see anyone at Canterbury on the day.
