To the clowns that think the media is far right in the country you really need to open your eyes.

Guardian, SMH,  News.com, ABC, SBS, Nine, Ten and most smaller outlets are either left or far left media outlets.
Most copy/paste their articles and sources from NY Times, Washington Post, Huff Post, Buzzfeed, CNN etc which have basically become paid left wing socialist activists.

Demand for those of which have been so bad that some of the companies have had to lay off 25% of their workforce in the past month.

What i've seen in the comments here from those posters is the exact same dribble i've seen a thousand times on the left wing sites

Somebody even mentioned Hillary Clinton is a centrist. Ahahaha!!!
She was so far left only Bernie Sanders and AOC could claim to be more left wing bat shit crazy than she was.

Of course when you have gone so far left of the political spectrum, you tend think everybody that doesn't think like you is right or far right so automatically must be bad.

What we need is more proper journalism and less agenda driven activism in the media.

Maybe then people will start trusting news sources again.

Why would anyone bother to respond to someone who gets their kicks from throwing around insults and making pejorative remarks, least of all on a topic that does not belong in a sporting forum (there are other venues for this) but it just highlights how big the divide is in society, how so many have been duped by the media and how political agendas creep into all areas of society. (Was hesitant to add my two cents to this thread but perhaps I care a little too much about people being blinded from reality)

In any case, what I think is not important, it is what YOU believe that matters.

There is something about yourself that you don’t know. Something that you will deny even exists, until it’s too late to do anything about it. It’s the only reason you get up in the morning. The only reason you suffer the shitty puss, the blood, the sweat and the tears. This is because you want people to know how good, attractive, generous, funny, wild and clever you really are. Fear or revere me, but please, think l’m special.

Ego gratification: your an approval junkie.

What a bunch of waffle.  It's a simple yes or no.

Do you think the Christchurch shooting were a false flag or staged operation?

And it is important we know what you think because judgements are made on people's mental state based on what sort of batshit things they believe.

If you believe shape-shifting reptillians are the illuminati and are running a world government then the chances are I'm not going to take serious anything that comes out of your head.

As for calling me an approval junkie listen to you.  Teasing out little dribs as if you're the only one  not drinking the kool-aid.  Look at me I know better than all you MSM brainwashed sheeple.

Ever notice how it’s always a ‘radical muslim’ who mows down people in a vechile and it’s always a ‘white supremcist’ who carries out a ‘massacre’....funny that.

Ever notice how, within ONE HOUR, the presstitutes publish the life story of the ‘perpetrator’ and their ‘plans’ for all to see.......just think about that for a moment....in one hour they know every fookin thing there is to know about this dude....amazing that.

Ever notice how there is ALMOST ALWAYS a drill of the same crisis taking place in the same location at the SAME time...wow, what a coincidence.

Ever notice how the puppet politicians almost immediately come out and start talking about a gun buyback scheme or restricting ownership....what perfect timing, couldn’t be another reason why they want to disarm the public could it....

I could go on....but my point is;  use your brain and QUESTION EVERYTHING.  Be more like NEO and less like TRUMAN(unawake truman).

Wow this thread just  highlights how divided we have become. People everywhere seem pretty scared in this destabilized world  and are looking for people to blame and are quick to point to the  other. Its human nature to dehumanize our opponents with labels and politics is rife with insults for your plliticsl enemies right now; cuck, red pill, snowflake etc etc once you label them you dont need to listen to them anymore, and it is just proof of how wrong they are. So, people all get together in their internet echochambers and come up with their theories, and when it comes to discuss it with people outside their group they arent even listening anymore and it just comes down to a supposed pointscoring shouting match. Then everyone will retreat to their 'tribe' and talk about how they 'destroyed' or 'annhilated' someone of the other tribe.
No ones going to have their mind changed, and they dont care because the perception is that the other side is iredeemably brainwashed/morally evil anyway

Conspiracy theories are the new facts.

One of the reasons we have this divided world is that the majority do not have the skills and knowledge to critically analyse evidence.

And the gold standard method to do that is the Scientific Method.  Unfortunately most people are scientifically illiterate.  This also includes the bulk of University graduates.  Hence climate change deniers might have PhD's, and utter rubbish published in the name of the humanities and social "research" by those on the Left to further their agenda.  Corner either of them with facts and they have nothing except insults, ad homs or worse.

Didn't one nation get 200,000 votes? That's 200,000 who are very far to the right. The mainstream politics in Australia are also fairly far right at this stage.

Holy crap, I can only imagine what you must consider left-wing then...

This thread is like parliament ...you have people from both sides of politics trying to convince the other to change views they have probably held all their lives .

What do you think your chances of making that happen are ?

I notice too that when people on forums discuss politics they always try to make out the opposing view is held by a cretin.
Sorry guys .....but there are very intelligent people on both sides ...however to me.... the further you go to one side or the other.....the intelligence quotient lessens.

As I pointed out in a thread about the Christchurch attack over on ET- the last week has confirmed bell-curve theory is alive and well...

It’s a bit like adam goodes got booed because he ‘stages free kicks’. No he got booed because of the colour of his skin. Just my way of seeing it. Each to their own.

Or

Or...

Maybe people don't like Waleed simply because they find him disingenuous and dislike his arguments? Maybe being an educated migrant is irrelevant?

Same as Goodes- maybe the racists booing him simply didn't like how he played the game and uses racial slurs to try and get to him? Now, using racial slurs is totally below the belt and unacceptable for players or fans- but isn't it strange how none of the other Indigenous (full blooded or otherwise) players were copping this abuse from the same racists simply because of the colour of their skin?

This is the problem with many on the left these days- they are obsessed with race, to the point it blinds their ability to judge somebody of a different race to them like a normal human being. Their inner monologue tells them that because the other person is x ethnicity, they must have a certain worldview and that they must be defended at all costs. So they project this train of thought onto the right and assume the only reason those people critiscise them is because racism.

Irony is, the majority of people I dislike in this world are white males- but just because a person is neither of these things doesn't mean they get a free pass.

The genuine left-wingers like Bernie are against that.

The corporate centrists like Hillary (who in Australia would be well and truly right-wing) are for it though.

yep. totally agree.

Bernie is a communist.  Communism is the natural outcome of the Far Left..  Because THIS time, Communism will work...

its amazing how many poeple get communism and socialism mixed up. Bernie is not a communist. Communism is not the natural outcome of the Far Left. Its hilarious to suggest that. Democratic Socialism is the natural outcome for a leftie such as myself. And while people will refuse to admit this, Australia is in many ways a Socialist Democracy.

This is absolutely not what happened, you're creating your own narrative to justify your own beliefs. There was no issue until Goodes called out a racist and from then on he was public enemy #1 because he dared to stand up for himself.  Goodes directly challenged the racists and they didn't like it, thats why HE specifically was targeted.

nah I don't quite agree. In his later days Goodes turned into a dirty player to make up for his declining skills. he used to dive and drop his knees on opposing players. And all the hate from this went viral after he called out the 15 year old girl. it started out as criticism against a "shit bloke." but it spiralled out of control after the whole controversy was hijacked by the racists.

have you seen the racism in AFL? The others weren;t booed, beacuse they had bananas thrown at them or abuse from the sideline.

Any white payer booed like Goodes in the modern game? Or don't any white players dive?

And btw I am not even a lefty. I don't care for any side I reckon they're all tiresome.

No I am just looking for a list of all the lefties that supposedy run the ABC, despite the coalition's own investigations finding no bias. Maybe some know more than others?

Well, for starters Kerry O Brien worked for Paul Keating. His successor Maxine McKew ran for labor against Howard.

I'm not of the belief the ABC is inherently biased but I dont think theres much debate that, historically at least, journalists employed there lean towards the left.

I'd say most serious jounalists around the world lean towards the left, although most try to keep their personal view out of reporting. O'brian tbf was a press officer which a lot of political journalists are at one point or PR, and he hasn't been at the ABC for 5 years

nah I don't quite agree.

This. First came people who disapproved of Goodes' style of play, THEN came the racial slurs.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

The incessant booing didn't begin until AFTER the racial incident, no matter how disliked he was before. This is a fact.
