But say Im in a rural anglo country town, just about every bar around will only be interested in AFL or NRL. Ask to watch football and youll probably be met with resistance or dissapointment. Ive actually never even tried to do this in a rural country town.

This is the bit I will respond to.
But I think it says more about EuroSnobs:

I've grown up in Griffith all my life, but now live in Canberra. For the 2010 World Cup, a couple of my mates and I went out on a Saturday night (in Griffith) in our Socceroos kits, and there was a club that was showing the World Cup games on one of the TV's.

After both us and Ghana scored, some guy drunkenly comes up to us and says, "Who's playing?", looks and squints at the screen: "Oh fuck the socceroos, ITALIA!!!"

Anyway, I honestly think the far right is less of a problem than the far left, even the left.
You want to have a good relationship with the Islamic societies, the left is anathema to their ideals, it's just another religion bs.
Same sex relationships is a death sentence, freedom of religion can also be a death sentence (see apostasy), patriarchal hierarchy you can't get a better example than Islam, there are problems on both sides.
The problem is that Europeans had the enlightenment period where we separated state from religion, Islamic societies haven't, we approach things differently.
The far right might have violent tendencies, but it's in your face, something you can tackle with. But the left challenges their ideology, which is much more serious, you are expecting people to question their beliefs.
Just chill and except there are differences, most people are shit kickers anyway, the world will still turn.

Ha. I was at a fundraising function last night here on the mid north coast and they had some items for auction.

The Balmain jersey signed by Blocker Roach went for $750.  The Ben Simmons signed jersey $850 and a Socceroos shirt, signed by the whole team that played against Korea last year in Brisbane went for $120.

Wow. They literally paid Rebel for the jersey.

I'm a 'sheeple'.

You got that right!

Sorry couldn't resist as you linked the thread. BTW, Boca J did not say anything like what you accused him of. He just stated, quite correctly, people should validate their sources and not trust the media because the media cleverly sue words to skew a most clever slant on things.

The 2 examples he provided were correct.

(Actually, I just noticed this thread is in the wrong section - therefore shouldn't have responded)
