+xHarry Ashcroft over at Finn Harps in Ireland. Just found that that they also have a Maltese-Australian in Jacob Borg on their books. He was capped by them back in 2013.

+xHarry Ashcroft over at Finn Harps in Ireland. According to Transfermarkt, he can't even make the matchday squad. If he isn't injured, then that's embarrassing for him.He struggled to get game time in Malta too.

Crashed and burned.

Wow, I hadn’t actually noticed the season Bristol have been having!
Bailey Wright captaining them in the EPL would be pretty epic 👌

That's cool about Taggart. I might have wrote him off but I'll wait as we need anyone that can put the ball in the back of net for the Socceroos.

Gerbsach and Breda are probably going. Lower Dutch league is quite poor. Hopefully he can get a deal at a decent level in a stronger squad. He's good enough.

Giroud scores. Classy finish, nothing Maty could do.

Loftus-Cheek scores an absolute top-bins goal.
Poor Maty has faced 3 unsavable goals.
3-0 Chelsea.

3:0 Chelsea. Appears Ryan can do little against these good shots.

+xTom Glover has joined Helsingborgs on loan from Tottenham for the upcoming Allsvenskan (Swedish top flight) season. Pär Hansson is the mainstay and club legend in goal. At 32, I can't see Glover getting ahead of his experience unless Hansson leaves for one final crack at a bigger league. I remember seeing him against Hannover in the Europa League and he had good reflexes. Hopefully Glover can learn a lot and get lots of game time in the reserve side where possible while probably being the number 2 in the first team.

Screenshot doesn't show for some reason.
Anyway Oliver Puflett (Ex WSW youth striker) signed for Home United in Singapore (Same cub Cernak plays for) and scored and got an assist on debut.
Other Aussies who play in Singapore are Blake Riccuito who plays for Brunei DPMM, and Corey Warren who plays for Geylang.

LO, Martin (3 Sep 1997) - transferred to Pho Hien, Vietnam Seems Martin is a bit older, but it would be fascinating to see how a Vietnamese Aussie would go heading back to Vietnam to take advantage of their clearly superior youth setup.

Genreau, Sainsbury and Behich all on the bench in the same game. Frustrating as it's a quick turnaround from the Ajax game and the PSV defence was poor against 10 men.

Pretty much rely on the mexican and De Jong for every W. (goals). Eredivisie is pretty dire really apart from these 1 or 2 good players. Defense could play rubbish every game regardless. Champions League they had nfi what they were doing. I can see why MVB was utterly confused about who he should play. He tried Sains in a few games in the domestic and then 1 loss undid any efforts they made. Behich as well. MVB being a new coach just isn't going to take any risks with those fans. They criticised those games heavily

They criticised those games heavily Yeah it's that difficult spiral. They come in later after a WC. They get some practice game minutes but the manager wants a familiar 11 for starters. Things go well and then there's no point in changing. Behich and Sains get a cameo here and there and then get starts in a cup upset suddenly being stamped as terrible. Confidence starts to drop and then Sains gets thrown into the deep end vs Inter and does quite well only to then suffer victim to an error at Spurs away. They go to the Asian Cup and perform below par confirming the doubters that they're not good. The season is still very much alive and they want the title. Of course if they're good enough they'll play. It's not the simple though as breaking into such a stable 11 is very hard.

Really do wonder how much Aussie players suffer when they are with foreign coaches. By that I mean, the culture shock, difficulty in translation of language. Must fuck ones head trying to fit in with addditional barriers. Not just performance factors. One hit to confidence like Behich has taken could be hard to recover from. I do wonder what they use as motivation during these struggles .

I do wonder what they use as motivation during these struggles . There are certainly many factors. There's bound to be a bit more of pessimism on ability due to the national team decline but that'd be naive from a manager. The golden generation were a stern bunch that owned the training pitch but weren't without their challenges.
