+x+x+xThere’s a long list right:Fowler. Robinson. Davies. Kurz. Rudan. I did find it intriguing Rudan’s names in the paper today lol. the only two there with no conspiracy theories attached are Davies and Robinson....surely Davies is a no ...leaving Robinson as a dark horse ! Davies is who the Barkies want. Consider it bizarre seeing the coach himself doesn’t want the role nor got the experience for it. Not sure how you decided the Bakries want Davies .(?)..but I would rather take a chance on Fowler than take Davies ....Admittedly Davies has had everything against him from day one but his tactical prowess even with what he has got to play with, hasn't impressed me ...(and I say that as a person who is not keen on Fowler as he is so inexperienced)

It’s very simple for me - it’s not just about the Head Coach appointment, it’s also about who they bring in as assistant (or whether they’re allowed to bring someone in?).
Davies is a nice guy and will be better for this experience, but he looks to be s couple of years away from being ready.

How good was it to see youth playing the way they should in Orange 😀
Lopez, TK did their bit as well but we need younger versions of them next season.
McKay was bloody marvellous.
We wobbled in the first 10 minutes of the second half other than that it was a performance full of good football and optimism.
Eric I’m afraid can depart with the majority for me - we saw the best of him in the first half and then the worst of him in the second with yet another petulant act. A $600,000+ marquee has to be better than that.

Agreed ...he has potential ....but a bit green still..but as you say this season would be a wonderful learning curve for him. Bit of a break for a few seasons back as an assistant and he may turn out to be a very good head coach.

Amazing Matty can play virtually any position and what a legend he is. Shows what an experienced head can do even if out of position. Aren’t the youmgies marvellous. Put all their heart and mind into the game. Yes showing a lot of naivety but rather have them than dads army any day.

ANZAC DAY | Roar v Adelaide, 2 PM kick-off. The 2019 ANZAC Day Dawn Service, marches and remembrance parade takes place on Thursday 25th April 2019. Football will join AFL and NRL in staging a special commemoration match with full ceremony in what is hoped will become an annual Brisbane event. So,having not watched the game, can I assume Babalj finally was shifted ,DWH was more central and we got some youth playing?

@ crimson
Pretty much.
Babalj was on the bench. D’Aggers played striker, DWH played off him down the Center but regularly pushed out to the right side where he found space. Zac Duncan sat behing those two playing “10” which worked really well.
5 youth players on the park. Caletti came off the bench, so did Reardon and both played well. Charlie was the other sub and he looked very good - question mark on whether he can score though?
Worth watch the first half if you have Kayo.

I really get the impression DD feels pressured to play the older higher paid players and it’s only injuries forcing home to do what he should have months ago. So frustrating waiting for the coach to do the obvious and give youth experience with a few senior players for balance.

@melbcityguy
We’ll see how the ANZAC Day game goes. It was Pourre’s idea but it is a designated FFA game now (meaning it can be moved next year).
Fox have started running some Ads for it and Roar have been promoting it since Round one. The club recon worse case is 12k and tracking over 15k at the moment.
In terms of the actual football I just want to see more of the youngsters giving it a go. Thoroughly enjoyed Friday night just did that.

Duncan is highly rated in the youth squad. Plays central midfield, normally as a CAM
