Marki it takes a bit of time to go from the bottom of the table to the top.
With 50% of the cap and 0% of the 50/50s, you expect Pay to instantly transform our team into the best team in the comp.
From my point of view lots of good progess but it is a 3-4 year project,

+xPoor Josh Morris tonight.... doing his best Marcelo Montoya impersonation Wok said it best, at the end of their career good games get further appart and bad games slowly get more frequent. JMoz has been a great player, but sooner or later time catches up with most players.

+xBeing optimistic win 2-3 in a row we will climb the table rapidity. Playing Manly, Newcastle & Good Coast the next 3 games..... surely we can win at least 2 out of 3 if not all 3 Our pack just took on & won against a Cowboys pack that’s full of Internationals & SOO players..... I want to smash the hell out of Idiot Dessy’s team!!!!!!! But DCE always seems to kick our @rse almost singlehandedly

Cowboys are not a top team, but our efforts against Souths and the Storm was impressive. Our grit, execution and energy was great against the Cowboys... This like Elliott clearly playing injured and not shirking anything, looks like the players want to win.

+x+xLike you mentioned 5 teams that play like that, do you really believe the other 11 don't simply because it's not the plan???... and do you really believe they do it for 80 every week, or is it the right moments... and let's not forget most of those teams are given a leg up if the opposition donor to them via an offside penalty all too regularly.. Nope. The 5 I mentioned do it for nearly 80mins. The rest do it sporadically. We dont. Only ever if we are trying to pin them in the 10m after 1 or 2 good swarming tackles. Did it more when we had JR. Nowdays there is no one. CHN has it in him instinctively as he has come from Penrith, but it shows coz he rushes out and creates a staggered line. He was awful on a couple of occasions in first half last night. To do it effectively, you need the whole umbrella defence to do it together. You have to train for it. Nope... no they don't... seriously I've asked a few times now.. how many games do you actually watch... you continue to state the obvious with little actual insight a great mind of the game you allegedly are would show...

I think some people mistake being allowed to be consistently offside with line speed... now if you wanna talk about pushing the refs, and flowing I'm happy to discuss... but again... you need the cattle (see NRLol sweethearts) to pull that off..

Poor grub ...lack of effort was never his problem ... even in the lower grades he was a wholehearted competitor... Just recently I saw him do some of the better kicks I've ever seen him do, so it look like injuries are catching up just as he is finally nailing some skills. He is on overs at the Tigers, with his injury history, I don't think they will extend him, back to the Dogs on modest money is a good deal all round.. he is tailor made for 14 in the modern game, you just need to pay him 14 money, which is for 15 mins of dynamic action each game (with hopefully minimal screw ups)

A club ambassador or similar post post retirement definitely. We could wait and see what happens when the NRLol initiate the 'Inglis Protocol' and do both... ;) I know Nancy would love to see him coaching our young halves...

Stuck in Melb and with no fox in room watched some AFL shows this morning... the booing controversy is insane, and the fact that AFL bosses have said they will do something about it if it continues even crazier...
Now that jibberer Ready is saying if Jack D is allowed to play the eels will put on extra security as they're concerned JDB will get similar treatment...
Good luck stopping people booing, are they going to eject people for booing???...
#pcmadness....

So Idiot Des wouldn’t allow our No9 to run....
He’s now got 2 No9’s in the one side & both are running.... their bench guy Fainu or whatever his name is, is a gun!
They played so well Manly especially when DCE came off!
God I hate Idiot Des even more..... he’s entered Will Chalmbers territory

They played so well Manly especially when DCE came off! God I hate Idiot Des even more..... he’s entered Will Chalmbers territory Squad assembly was the main area Des fell down at our club, others share the blame. Apart from that Des had an obsession with playing a particular style that didn't suit our team. Even tho Des and others screwed our club, I never thought Des was an idiot, given the right team and the right support he can get results. After a while I think his style becomes less effective as players get tired of the over analysis. But him getting reasonable results with Manly is no surprise, they have a reasonable squad. Inspite of the fact that some teams have jumped out of the blocks, this season looks very competitive to me. Getting teams at the right time helps. Newcastle and the Broncos are back in form. Broncos have a lot of talent, they should not be at the bottom of the table. For us the key is to keep improving our game, this season is all about improving making the 8 is a bonus. On recent form, we might be able to finish 12th or better. I think just focus on improving our game and see where we end up. I don't see the top 8 or even the top 4 as set in stone, a few injuries some bad luck and the refs changing allegiance can cost a team a couple of close losses, down the table they tumble and it could sap their confidence, could be any team at anytime.

I have never said a word about Reynolds since he left because I have not missed him for one minute and when Lichaa leaves I will never give a second thought to him either. The weasel reckons the Rorters might want Lichaa as backup for Ridley seeing Friend is out for months haha. Politis must be going senile.
