+x+x+x+xIs there any wonder the country is going downhill. Golden Circle, once a proud Australian company. I bought their one litre fruit drink. Clearly and proudly labelled "made in Australia from at least 73% Australian ingredients". Read the contents 25% fruit juice plus sugar, food acids etc. Talk about bloody spin. The Australian content is the water it's mixed with. The juice is pineapple and mango. Fruits we grow plenty of. Poor farmers. Yeah, it's American cordial now. I think the Brisbane factory is still canning tons of Pineapple, good for local farmers, but ultimately the real profits go to the American owners. At least Vegemite is Australian owned again after a brief interlude of foreign ownership. It's still a travesty it's being sold in plastic toothpaste tubes though. Fortunately the regular jars are still available. Interesting question...how many don't like vegemite? I am one...yet 3 grandkids could live on vegemite sandwiches and virtually nothing else and be truly happy. My son was a lousy eater yet would never knock back vegemite toast. I can't find the allure. Love stuff. Meant to say Love the Stuff..... One of life's little pleasures is loving something that half the population can't stand......theres more for you without the vultures scavenging your food.

So far our rehab looks good this year.

With the unfortunate death of Icon Director Singleton, was thinking if a movie was ever made about the BDP posters.... which movie star would play which poster????
I’ll start off with....

+xSo the NBN is coming in June to our house. Looking at different companies as the wifi router that comes with Optus is terrible going by reviews. We have been with Optus for years and years. Can anyone who has the NBN recommend a different company as long as it isn't Telstra. unfortunately NBN has arrived in Belmore..have wrecked most of the football on burwood road. We have stalled it for a while but who knows for how long

I think we might squeak by with a narrow win, no DCE for Manly.

If you've ever picked against them and they've won, you'll know that stupid and embarrassing feeling and you'll never do it again. Every week it seems to be the easiest of tips - except when have the bye.

After last weeks performance from Cogger and Meaney, you just DONT take any chances. Highly likely Broncos will fall to Souths tonight so they will be stuck on 4 points with us in any case. I'd give him abit more time to get himself right and also allow the Lewis-Cogger combo some more game time.

Thought it was odd considering the Raiders were playing at Manly but I did hear he has been playing in reserve grade.

Normally you get the opportunity of seeing through ridiculous rumours between seasons but guess with so few journos of note the opportunity now seems to be 12 months of the year (and again I would think they are not rumours as a genuine rumour would surely have a modicum of factual basis...no matter how slight)

You wouldn't really want him returning on the Manly pothole paddock...I do think a week longer rather than a week too soon is the adage and I doubt if Tony Ayoub would allow any return unless the player was ready.

But this year it seems we have the halves problem more or less fixed, so i dont think it's our focus. I still rate him but if he wants to leave and play first grade elsewhere I'm not sure we can guarantee that right now.

Circumstances might change, but for once we seem to have the halves covered. He still has some talent and potential, so I rate him, just not high enough to change our plans. If he could play 9 and had the ability to defend in the middle for long periods .. then I would sign him,

I watched a bit of the Canberra / Manly game, I still do not know what to expect.
Manly had a lot of ball 2nd half, and made some good off loads, if they get on top, they can score quickly.....
They have big physical forwards and outside backs which we need to handle..... that is the bad news...
The neither team looked particularly slick or well drilled in attack, both seemed to play slowly, both defended well.
But the Manly attack seems a bit ad-hoc and unstructured, if we defend well, they might start pushing offloads... we can turn some of them into errors....
In attack we want to move them around, and force the outside backs into making decisions..
So in summary..... they may be more physical, we may be more cohesive..

There would be players 2 months into the season being tapped on the shoulder (like Nikorima etc) told their services won’t be needed in 2020....
Players at Cowboys, Penrith, Bronco’s due to poor start to the season & high expectations will be offered up I reckon
I hope the Dogs can jag a bargain or two
