Much better than Western United's effort.
I think the main logo image is needlessly complicated, though.

If true, the name sounds good. And the logo is ok even if it looks a bit MLS

+xThis just popped up on the IP Australia website. Looks good. I like that Bulls isn't in writing, leaving it organic if people start calling them the Bulls.

Good name and logo. I like the historical links the region has with the bull.
Wish they were coming in next season

+xReminds me of Chicago’s basketball team. so how far is McArthur from Wanderers and Sydney fc? Sydney FCs base is SFS (very east) and Kogarah (south). WSW are Parramatta which, across sydney actually is pretty central, and Macarthur is futher west. Sydneys got a pretty complicated geography. If you were breaking it up youd probably say Sydney FC for east/south, WSW for north west and Macarthur for South West. Even thats not the best description though

Looks good
Even more impressive is it hasn't been greeted with the usual flow of negativity this forum so often produces, but I'll wait for the usual suspect

Once again expansion in Melbourne are pathetic and Sydney blows us out of the water. That's a good name with respect to football tradition by not forcing the nickname in and strong community approval. Badge is a bit dull with the overdone shield shape and american looking design but it could be a lot worse (like Roars old badge).

+xReminds me of Chicago’s basketball team. so how far is McArthur from Wanderers and Sydney fc? Parramatta Stadium is about 10km closer to the SFS than Campbelltown as the crow flies. WSW catchment would be defined West/North West while Macarthur are definitely South West. It will be interesting to see how far south of Parramatta the line is drawn between the two teams as it is quite obvious that Macarthur are trying to incorporate areas that WSW currently hold e.g. Bankstown/Fairfield which both (in a whole of Sydney context) are referred to as South West but are much closer to Parramatta than Campbelltown. WSW also play a lot of their youth/women games at Marconi and Sydney United Sports Park which both are considered South West.

Have they held numerous fan forums and run online polls for potential members to have their say? Can't say I've heard anything along those lines or feedback from those who attended... Not that i've subscribed for updates or anything but usually the top options and rumours float around forums in advance of the announcement. This seems to have been held under wraps until today?

I think it's needlessly complicated; there are unneeded lines and cuts which won't show up properly in most reproductions of the logo anyway. In terms of structure, it's not bad.

Designing the logo to optimistically reflect their first 3 premierships in the HAL? Logo looks ok, but the stars look daft.

Would look much better if the shield contoured the bull-horns and the lettering.

+xDesigning the logo to optimistically reflect their first 3 premierships in the HAL? Logo looks ok, but the stars look daft. They are the commonwealth stars. Commonwealth stars are meant to say they are from Australia and not to say they won championships
