x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xI purposely attended from 5.30pm yesteday as I was more interested in reserve grade. I was dissapointed with what the reserves dished out right after halftime but they steadied the ship and did enough when it counted. My disappointment was only relative though, as first grade reinforced my belief that the reserves play a better style of footy. I would dearly love to see reserves play the first grade team just to prove my point. Many of them have played first grade so they are not oblivious to the speed of NRL. Wont happen, but I think you all get my drift... As ODF says.... a complete wipe out of Des coached players is needed which will leave the team smas follows: 1. Meaney 2. Crichton/ OK 3. 4. 5. Smith 6. Lewis 7. Cogger 8. Napa 9. 10. 11. CHN 12. Martin 13. 14. JMK 15/16/17. Fill in the gaps with new recruits. Typical ..you have omitted Foran...your agenda is flawed. I think the main thing is to get some oomph at the start. Ogden and Renouf as props,...Tolman to the bench. CHN and RFM with Jackson....even though RFM did a great impression of Phil Tufnell on a bad day...Small credits but Sue and Crichton both okay I'm not picking a team to snatch a win next game and go missing for the next 4 Steve...... I'm picking a team that are stayers. One that can string a few wins together. So why would you drop a champion. Because unlike you Steve, its team first and players history second...... Player history, you mean every game he's played this season???... consistently has the defence in two minds and creates almost all of our opportunities... maybe if you'd watched more than 3 bulldogs games this year you'd know that... I agree he runs to the line and puts defences in 2 minds - probably his greatest attribute. But unfortunately our team structure is such that he handles the ball maybe once in a set of 6, while Tolman sees it at least twice. And if it's not Tolman, its Jacko or Elliott or some other clone. This is my issue Dman. Foran should be commanding the ball just about every play - most certainly in attacking half. He doesn't. It's a black mark against the team, the coach's tactics and also for him. But you cant change him. He looks good in a team that is rolling forward but I'm afraid his 1 good run or play per set isnt enough for this team. He'll look great playing for others but I'm not convinced he is the best option for us. In any case, 1 more year and Pay it the next coach can decide if they keep him or not. Agree, Great player but not for our tactics Runs to the line and passes a flat pass to Who, RFM ,drops the ball. This is the play in the set as Tolman, Elliot, Jackson, Napa have already played the burner. Sometimes Tolman by 2. Ridiculous. JMK is not a 9, more a 22. I really would like to see our same players with the only change being our line defence and a Damien Cook or Robbie Farrah type as hooker. I honestly think they would finals worthy. But unfortunately such a change doesn't happen overnight. And realistically, some of our middle forwards cannot play a fast line defence game. Its not natural to them or they are set in their own ways. It's why I believe we need a cleanout of forwards with exception of Napa, Ogden, CHN and Martin. The rest just cant do it. Suasu Su might be so worth hanging onto.

x+x+xThe body language at the forum, then the body language in the dressing room are a very bad sign. Players will forgive inept coaching for only so long. I am sure paying Pay out wouldn't cost much. The club has to admit they made a mistake re-signing him and move on. what did you think of the forum Nancy? I thought it was very poorly executed. the players should not have been there. Yes Anna wrong decision to have them there. I got there a few minutes late so I had a great view of their reactions from the back, they didn't want to be there. The mike situation was amateur hour. Okunbor proved to be the most well spoken young player we've ever had probably. Okunbor is a great asset I hope he is a one club player. We need to win games, but we also need players with personality.

xIs Dr Boomerang still working for the club or did Dman drop by Belmore for a quick session with the players...? Just heard J Jackson say on Ch9 news ‘if we just string 3 or 4 wins together, we’d be in the 8’ JJ should be dropped for ridiculous comments like that. We fekking played Canberra with no strike players and we were just about at full strength. We couldbt beat them. We couldnt score 3 tries against those nobodies. We didnt fekking score till the 62nd or so minute. We now play Dragons, Easts and Sharks. What the fekk makes him think we can string ANY games. All I wanted was us to bank that Raiders game as a win. I knew we would lose the next 3. But winning that 1 was most important. Sometimes our players should just shut up and at least LOOK like they are concerned about the predicament.

x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xJust reading.... Storm recruitment boss in England to check out any potential talent across the Superleague magic round Did anyone ask Lynne Anderson where our recruitment guy is on Thursday night? The new board has done a fair job with recruitment considering the absolute clusterfvck with which they were left cap wise... most posts on here indicate recruits such as napa, chn, Meaney, and to some extent cogger are players around which we can build a team... the main thing is they don't take advice from the likes of you cos we'd sign every player in the comp on the back of one good game... or several time losers like carney and Locke... Disagree. The board failed to address with the coach last season the need to sign a No9 & some quality in the backs to inject into the side The team had little issues last year getting into the opposition red zone.... yet we had fekk all talent to turn them opportunities into tries which cost a number of games last year & it’s costing us again this year. Sue, Meaney, Cogger, Crichton, CHN have now spent time in reggies this year.... you call that fair recruitment? Of all the players we purchased for this year... CHN is the only player of 1st grade standard calibre If we keep buying plodders, it will be Rd 12 2020 & I bet we’ll be discussing the exact same crap we’re covering right now as we did in 2018, as we did in 2017. It is easy to say but hard to do...some of the suggestions have been jokes Segueyro for example. or blokes that are tied up on 3 year contracts as though it is a matter of snapping the fingers and you get what is wanted. Recruitment from NRL clubs is pretty hard. Have to look outside of the box. I know names like Reece Robson and Brittian have been mentioned as No9’s to sign up.... But with the spine that we have currently.... an experienced No 9 is a must, not an unproven NRL standard player We should still sign up the next Brittan etc, but what we need is quality & experience. While you say that you need to name a player who we can get, Cook is ideal but hard to imagine we can get him. Brailey bros at the Sharks are good. Manly have one good young hooker. Canberra have Hodgson. Nancy is right England is worth investigating.... Brittan is way better than what we have and worth a punt, if we can't get someone really good. Why would Bennett let his #1 back up for cook go???... fact is no one has any idea if we've approached the likes of Britain or Brailey, but assume we haven't cos it suits a rant... Not sure we can get Brittian, but similar to Meaney his path to NRL is blocked by a better player. Most of the time these are the kind of player you can get or a really talented young kid 3-4 years away from NRL. I don't know who we can get, but it is most unlikely we will get top shelf experienced 9 from another club. Dear Bulldogs, please sign Billy for HD. Do not stand in the way of true love. I need to find another option ... surely there are more players that could do the job. If we have young halves we need a smart dummy half that can help organise the side.... not many of them around. Someone like Cook with brains and speed is extremely rare... I'll let Souths keep Billy if they give us Cook. The 11th Immortal can fill in at 9 if you need him HD....

x+x+xI don't know if we can be sure that the coach and players are rubbish. That is like saying a soccer team with no goalkeeper is rubbish.... When the team is lacking in key areas, everyone looks bad. All we can do is address problems in sequence. After 9 we need a good prop who makes yards and has an offload. Depending on how Cogger progresses we might need a halfback. Centre we have Harper that is a position where a good young guy can do the job. 9,7, 8 and 10 you need good players otherwise everyone else is under pressure. It's the excuses that are rubbish for me. There is enough talent and experience to perform to a FG level..they just aren't doing it...neither the players nor the coach. Improvements to the roster are necessary to make Top 8 or 4 but the majority of the forwards are experienced for example. They are horribly out of form and that's on the coach when it involves the majority of the team. Everyone is underestimating how much difference a quality 9 and a really good prop would make. Players are underperforming the coach is making mistakes and I hate the fact that we are finding ways to lose on a regular basis. Winning breeds confidence, as does scoring points, it starts with good players in key positions. We had them. Cook & Klemmer. Managed that we'll didn't we
