Create a 16 team A-league with bottom 2 relegated to 2nd division of 16 teams with bottom 2 playing off against npl final series from each state and I have each state up to its second division. Within 20 years got Australia to 5th on co-efficient for champions league and won the champions league twice

I played CCM last year - had an insane youth academy and became the best team in Asia. This year the best A-League prospects are Strain, Tilio and Singh.

As a tactical nonce who has only ever played FIFA, is it worth picking up? I've always been intrigued but always been hesitant because I grew up playing Aussie rules instead of football and thus have next to tactical sense.

I grew up playing Aussie rules as well and FM has taught me a bit about tactics.

I always play a Vuck save after I play a Wolves save. It seems they don't take as much care in the league as they do others. At one point this year (maybe around Jan transfer update) Honda wasn't even on the team, he was just the Cambodia manager.

Too boring playing as an A-League side. I've been playing FM for years, almost every night. The wife hates it :D
I usually start in the English National League or National North/South and build from there.
There's some guys who have done a whole Australia open pyramid though, so keen to get George Cross up to the A-League

It's beyond dull if you haven't messed with the editor to create a proper pyramid with P/R.

Worth a look if you play FM

They've created a 14 team A-League and 14 team B league with a national NPL underneath it - then state NPLs and then lower leagues beneath that. Insane number of clubs and leagues. I think I noticed some made up clubs at the bottom of the pyramid too, representing bigger suburbs without football clubs!

This going to be harder than I thought. I have 0 staff. A senior squad of 18 players, one of them above 10CA (he has 68 which seems crazy lol) and a youth squad of 35, none of them above 10CA (4 of them do have a PA of over 20 though so small victory). Yes, I have the in-game editor on. I wanted to see what figures showed up all the way down here in the 11th tier.
The club has $2,000 in the bank, $0 transfer budget and my wage budget literally says N/A lol

Turns out you can sign a lot of guys to amateur contracts who are WAY too good for this level lol. Will cruise for a few divisions I think https://www.mediafire.com/file/hpnrs2nn7kh0nv4/Australia+Full+Promotion-Relegation+Pyramid.fmf

Give me that and the UEFA Champions League expanding to a FIFA Champions League and watch me take Ballarat North United from the regional leagues to the Champions League final lol

An alternate reality, the year is 2019 and following the decline of Rugby League and Australian Rules Football at grassroots level as well as on the professional stage the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) have adopted a "European" type system which includes:
No salary cap, A nationwide cup that actually means something (winner qualifies for Asian Champions League) A fully professional second division, A semi-professional nationwide third division and most exciting of all Promotion and Relegation from the top tier of Australia all the way down to the bottom fourteenth tier.
File contains 126 Leagues to play in and 1580 real life Australian clubs to choose from. A-League clubs get 5 million AUD at the start of every season while B-League sides get 2.5 million. Money is scaled down to the NPL and SPLs and below that there is no TV Money.
Automatic promotion/relegation between the Hyundai Leagues. Promotion/Relegation Playoff between bottom B-League and winner of NPL. Promotion/Relegation Cup between bottom NPL and the 9 1st placed SPL sides. Underneath this promotion and relegation rules vary depending on what league you are in.
A-League has the current 12 real life teams as well as new franchises in Canberra and Tasmania. B-League has new franchise in Darwin, NZ powerhouse Auckland City, Former A-League side North QLD Fury as well as teams from Cairns, Wollongong, Sutherland, Fremantle, Ipswich, Brisbane, Adelaide, South Melbourne, Dandenong, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, NPL has 2 teams from each of the 9 states/federations.
Please note: We haven’t touched the playing squads yet so you must select Add Players to Playable Teams at game start to get a better experience when playing. We will be releasing a 2019 squad update for this database in a month or two which will add roughly 8,000 real life players to the game and other squad corrections.
