+xBest chance of beating the Roosters is to surprise them by playing well. They are expecting an easy game .. suprise them.. Just forfeit.

I thought the Cows would win golden point, Ahh... that's gambling for ya... irrespective golden point is shit... if we have to have it, golden try or five each way for penalties and field goals... just another way the NRLol gives an out to refs... GP = whistle in pocket junk time farce farce...

The difference between both wooden spoon years is that in 2008 we knew we reached our nadir and the following season we had a whole heap of new players coming (kimmorley, jmoz, Ennis, hannan, stagg, Eastwood, Goodwin). This year we will likely get the spoon again but there is no big turnaround for 2020. Could be back to back spoons.....

Nah, I think I prefer watching Hawks and Dogs in their horror seasons than that....

I am guessing that we finish 3-4 places higher than 2019. Slight better squad, young players more experienced, a bit more kuck. Players playing foe contracts.

But as I said last year.... Every team is looking to improve from the previous year. If we improve 5% but everyone improves 8%, we can still run last.

Marki brought it up, it takes skill and courage.... not sport in the conventional sense. In terms of teameork, fitness, skill and courage real mountain climbing is the ultimate test in terms of life and death, get it wrong someone dies, get it very wrong you all die. By real I mean unassisted and no oxygen. It is dead boring to watch as are many other sports.

I had a soft spot for Jarrod. Similar to Dogzilla. Underated most of the time, not fit enough but had good ball skills. I guess he didn't want it bad enough. Why don't these guys Agents give them more assistance to realise they potential. A CB junior so his career should forever be celebrated.

I think the back injury stuffed him up, he was making 30 tackles a game and great runs in attack with offloads etc, for 2-3 weeks before the injury, by far the best form of his career..... When he came back after injury he seemed to lack mobility and fitness, some of the worst form of his career..... I think his brief patch of good form was too brief for most fans to remember, it was in the 2008 season when we were losing most games, I remember it clearly, him getting injured was the straw that broke the camels back, we went from being poor to being a total rabble. It was only Bobcat, Corey and Hickey keeping the team competitive, 2 blokes could not do it all on their own... I've never seen so many useless passengers in a NRL side..... while it is faint praise, this years side is much better....

I'm just saying we are a chance of winning the odd game here and there this season..... Especially with DWZ on board and the recent improvement in JMK, our spine and backs are not that bad.. the forwards need to aim up and we need to cut out the dumb mistakes... do that we should be a chance most games .... OK I know they haven't shown signs of doing it... for more than 15 mins a game.

The Tigers / Cows game summed up the NRL for IMO, most weeks the opposition gives you a chance, you just need to be good enough to take it... Then when the momentum shifts, you need to be good enough to defend 2-3 back-to-back sets .... The team that takes their chances, minimises mistakes. and makes the effort in defence usually wins...

I'm not kidding when I say reserve grade team plays with more enthusiasm, variation and line speed than firsts.
I know it's not as intense as NRL, but the mentality and approach is correct.
Complete cleanout of the team is needed to take us forward. New coach also needed.
